My favorite UK real estate website, John Bray Estates {which I check several times a week!} just listed the Doctor’s Surgery from the hit TV show Doc Martin!!!
From the website:

Benefitting from off-road parking, a terraced rear garden and stunning sea views from all principal rooms.
- A stylish galley kitchen, separate dining room with log burner & cosy living room all overlooking the harbour and the Atlantic Ocean
- Two double bedrooms and a large family bathroom
- Currently, a very successful holiday let, offered for sale with all forward bookings
- Uninterrupted sea & harbour views from all principal rooms, front slate terrace and rear tiered garden. Two parking spaces to the front.
- Better known as Doc Martin’s surgery in the ITV television comedy-drama
- In all approximately 717 sq. ft (66.7 sq. m)
Check out these photos from the John Bray Estates listing:
Those sea views! That couryard! The interior! The walking distance to the shops!
What’s not to LOVE about this place?
Who knew you could fit so much charm into 717 square feet of living space?
And it comes totally furnished!

A bedroom that fits a “double” bed. {Full, or queen bed}.

I’ll put my offer in! I can only stay less than 6 months, but hey, price of being a yank.
Gardengoddess42 says
Cute cottage. But $1,641,000.00 for two bedrooms?
Property prices in Cornwall are OTT.
Carolyn Rust says
Gardengoddess42 – Thank you for the reality check! I thought the prices were bad in the Pacific NW…
Marcia says
It’s like where I live! (Santa Barbara)…that’s what you’d pay here for the ocean view…

Love it! Property is so expensive over there! I love watching Escape to the Country. Have you watched it? It’s like House Hunters but the UK version. It’s one of my favorite shows.
Mavis Butterfield says
Yes, it’s one of our favorite shows too. 🙂
Miss Mary says
I would have to have the show’s music piped in so as soon as I opened the door, it would begin. Just saying.
Patti says
Dream home. Love the simplicity.
Ca says
We love that show. I wonder if it will still be filmed in the surgery after it’s sold?
Dianne says
Just a FYI, the show “Doc Martin” ended in 2015, or close to it. Ten seasons starting in 2005. Great show!
Mavis Butterfield says
They filmed season 10 {the final season} in February of this year {2022} so it’s probably the perfect time to sell.
Joyce Dvorak says
Oh, wow. My family took my daughter and me to Port Isaac to see the town. By sheer coincidence, Doc Martin was filming at the drugstore. I have pics of standing in front of this house. This brings back happy memories. Thank you!

Mavis, I used to subscribe to your blog years ago when you lived here in WA. I saw your name on another website today and clicked on it! So glad to find you again! How do I subscribe??! Please let me know!! I have been here in Bonney Lake/Lake Tapps for 27 years now but grew up in CT and went to the beach in York, ME. I so miss New England!! Have you made it to Strawberry Banker in Portsmouth, NH yet? I went as a very young child when it the area of 17th/18th century homes were just being saved. We would tour every other summer and I took my own family in approx ’86. Please do visit if you have not…it is wonderful!
