I was sweeping the floor on Friday when I noticed some dust under the couch. Actually there was a lot of dust and some pretty nasty dust bunnies under the couch as well. {Barf!} Well, one thing led to another and all of the sudden I found myself moving furniture around.
I pulled the couch away from the big wall. Hauled the dining room table into the living room on a giant blanket {without scratching the floor or hurting my back thank goodness} and moved the cheesy little sideboard I picked up at Target last winter and the coffee table to the center of the room.
Holy crap! It actually looks cozy in there now.
I also moved Lucy’s $1.99 Goodwill chair and the twisty sticks I pulled out of Mrs. HB’s trash to the family room and HOLY COW MAN…. I think this room is DONE.
Wanna know the best part?
I didn’t even spend a penny.
I should clean under the couch more often!!

Wow that looks great! Its amazing what a difference it can make, I recently moved my furinture around and it feels like home now! Question for you, in your last photo youhave a picture of a vase with flowers, do you mind me asking where you found that?? I love it!

That piece of art is called Poppy Bouquet by Beverly Jean. That specific print is no longer being made, but Ms. Parker has done other flower prints. You might be able to find Poppy Bouquet in a thrift store if you check enough times. ~ From One Hundred Dollars a Month reader Joanna.

LOL! welcome to the world of pets and hardwood floors. Carpets having there own issues of course. PLEASE come up with some suggestions to help us pet owners keep it clean. I feel like I clean twice as much as my non pet owning friends and my house is twice as….unkempt.
