This morning when I opened the blinds in the kitchen garden everything looked so calm and sweet that I just had to pop out there and snap some photos for you.
I LOVE this time of year. It’s filled with so much hope! The perennials are beginning to emerge from their winter slumber and the seeds you’ve planted {and hoped you weren’t too early in planting} are starting to pop through the soil.
The birds are chirping and the sun is shining and there’s this feeling that this year’s gardening season is going to be a good one… Whether or not you plant a big garden or a small one or just fill a few pots with some annuals from the nursery.
It’s going to be okay. The grass is even starting to green up too and it’s like the switch has finally been flipped and there is no longer a chance of snow and it’s finally time to step outside and get started.
I’ll say it again… I LOVE this time of year!

Ahhhhh. It is wonderful, isn’t it!
We’ve been refreshing and planting for two days now. My brother in law gave us some wonderful plants when we went down home for a visit. We didn’t know what to do with most of them. So we had a lot of research and thinking about where to put them. We think we have that part sorted. Then we went to a local grower to buy vegetable starts and some annuals. That’s what’s on the agenda today. Most of it won’t make it, this I know. But at least we keep trying to learn!

We are finally getting to the place where I can think about spring in a serious way. But when I opened your newsletter today it was exciting to see it’s spring and your garden is ready to go! Have fun!
