It’s been raining cats and dogs {okay, not ACTUAL cats and dogs} up here in the Seattle area lately so I thought it would be the perfect time to giveaway a pair of my favorite Hunter Original Tall Boots. You can choose Green, Blue, Black or Red.
You may or may not know this but I have owned the same pair of Hunter Boots for over 11 years now. To put it simply, they are the best boots on the planet earth in my opinion.
Enter to Win a Pair of Hunter Original Tall Boots
HOW YOU WIN IT:
Life’s pretty complicated sometimes, so I like to keep things simple around here. You have FIVE ways to enter: 1 required and 4 bonus entries. That means you can leave a total of FIVE comments below for FIVE awesome chances to win.
1. *REQUIRED ENTRY* If you win the pair of Hunter Boots, where will you wear them? Walking your dog, in the garden, at the grocery store, on a hot date, yodeling, someplace else?
2. *BONUS ENTRY* Do you like/friend/follow me yet? Pick one or all and like me/follow me/subscribe to me via one of these forms of social media: Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, YouTube and/or Google+! Leave a comment below with the name of the site you followed, ie. “liked you on Facebook and Instagram.” Only 1 comment/entry regardless of if you follow me on all 6 sites. Which you totally should anyway.
3. *BONUS ENTRY* Start spreading the news. Share this giveaway with your peeps via Facebook. If you don’t do the social media thing, just send out an old fashioned email about this awesome giveaway. Leave a comment below letting me know how you shared it.
4. *BONUS ENTRY* Head on over to my Facebook page and leave a comment on one of the posts or pictures there. Come back here and leave a comment below letting me know which post or picture you commented on.
5. *BONUS ENTRY* Subscribe to my daily emailed newsletter. It’s an easy peasy way to make sure you don’t miss a thing. Plus, I’m way too busy gardening to spam you, so your email address is safe with me. Leave a comment below letting me know you subscribed.
This giveaway is sponsored by Mavis of One Hundred Dollars a Month, not by Hunter Boots. It’s a way to say THANK YOU to all who make this little ole’ blog of mine so much fun to get up everyday to write. I think you are pretty awesome and this is just my little way of giving back.
5 entries per person/ip address. If you cheat, you will totally be disqualified.
I will ship this prize ANYWHERE on the planet earth, so go ahead and enter.
This giveaway ends 11/2/14 at 6pm PST and the winner will be announced in the 11/3/14 edition of Mornings with Mavis. You will be notified via email and have 48 hours to claim your prize. Prize will be forfeited within 48 hours.
Good Luck! I hope you win.
Peace Out Girl Scouts!
♥ Mavis

Hi Mavis! Great giveaway! Five entries: 1. I would definitely wear the Hunter boots around our farm. We have horses, goats and chickens so boots are an absolute necessity. The ones I have now aren’t the greatest boots so a new pair would be awesome. Ok…for the bonus entries. 2. I have been following you on Facebook for a while now. I don’t use the other social media sites currently. 3. I commented on your ‘pumpkin carving tips’ post. 4. As soon as I’m finished this form, I’m going to share your giveaway on my farm page, Fresh Start Acres & Nubian Goat Farm. 5. I’m also going over to subscribe to your newsletter. That’s it – five entries. Gonna win me some boots…lol!

We just did the opposite of you and moved to 4.5 acres, part of which is wet lands. I would wear these every day around the yard and walking the dog. My two boys have fallen in love with our neighbors farm, so rain or shine we trek down there once a day and my tennis shoes that were okay in August and September are not cutting it any more.

My daughter has a pair of generic plastic boots like this that I wear all the time! I slip them on to pick up my little guy from the bus stop when it’s raining. I layer on extra socks & wear them to slide down the hill in the snow. This past summer I used them to wade into shallow water & pull up a water lily as a surprise for my 87-year-old grandmother. But I think my daughter wants her boots back, so I would just wear these into the future…

I probably would wear them every time I go outside. My feet have grown 2 sizes and have swollen up due to my recent diagnosis of pituitary death (means my pituitary gland doesn’t work anymore) so I can’t wear my tennis shoes and most shoes just are tight so I’m limited to flip flops for now but I’m thinking for winter these might just be perfect for my balloon feet. I’m not trying to pull the pity vote, just telling the truth 😉 but hey, if pity woks then cool.

Hi! I wear them while I finally get the new raised beds put in my garden. My garden failed because I didn’t know I needed to put some sort of gopher protection under them. Live and learn. Did you know gophers will eat rose roots? Killed almost every rosebush I had. I guess I get to redesign those areas now.

If I won a pair of Hunter Boots I’d wear them on our farm in Hansville, WA. My family just moved onto the farm with my folks and the mud is literally killing all of my other shoes, especially after this last weekends storm! And let me tell you a little about the “mud” here…we have free range chickens, ducks, geese and dogs. The not so free range animals are the goats, sheep and angora rabbits. So…when you see mud on my boots you should really question if it’s mud or…yup poop!!

Well, Mavis, I would wear them in the garden. My garden recently doubled in size. We removed the lawn. I have moved about 30 yards of horse manure, 30 yards of wood chips and another truck of manure for the top layer. It has been a massive amount of work and I spend a LOT of time slogging through manure. Oh…we are hoping to build a recycled window greenhouse, set it up on bricks so it’s tall, leaving the floor natural and planting the citrus trees in it. I have now gone off the Hunter Boot dream for a sec….have you tried an Owari Satsuma Mandarin Orange. OMG!!! They are still a titch sour, I couldn’t help myself, it was the most delicious orange I have ever eaten.
I would love the Hunter Boots. They are on my bucket list!!

Hi Mavis,
I have been a subscriber to you on Facebook for the past 2 years and i truly do enjoy reading about Pug, hens and everything you’re doing to the new house. I especially love the free ebooks. I look forward to seeing what free ebooks I can download every day.
Okay, let me tell why I would love a pair of these beautiful hunter boots. I started a new garden when I got to Georgia, home of the worse clay you can find any where (well, maybe it’s good for something. I just don’t know what yet). I love to work in the garden when it drizzles. It just makes it easier to pull weeds and dig or amendment the clay soil. Having these boots would allow me to do what I love, but without tracking that red clay in places that’s it’s not meant to be.
Zoya says
I will wear them in the garden.

These boots seem amazing! And, something I would wear practically year round. I live on a mountain in Vermont, on a dirt road, with our 5th season being “mud season”! I walk my dogs daily on our Ancient logging road, which is pretty sloshy most of the time, I tell ya! And then there is the garden… I need not tell you how messy that can get! I can see these boots being very useful in the tall ferns and fields.
LIsa G. says
I follow you on Facebook as well as your daily emails…and have learned so much!

If I won them (and I have wanted a pair forever), I would wear them first in the garden, but also to walk the pup in the snow and the rainy weather …..and I will do my best to keep my daughter from convincing me to let her have them. 🙂

I would LOVE a good pair or rain boots! I think I am drawn to the blue ones the most, but I like all of the colors… And let’s be honest, I will probably wear them when I take my dog to the muddy dog park in the winter- so any color will probably have. A nice coating of brown mud on it. 😉
