Sorry this is late, but I’m not feeling so great this morning so getting work done is taking a little more time than usual. Okay, a LOT more time. Luckily I have Lucy the Snuggle Puggle to keep me company and to love. Fun fact: I have not left the house since Saturday. It’s nice to know if I ever needed to seal off all my windows and doors with duct tape and hide inside my house for a week I won’t go stir crazy.

Really Mavis, a pencil snob? Or should it be a pencil connoisseur? As a high school teacher, I have seen my share of pencils. Two of those years I was the coordinator for roughly 1400 Advanced Placement Exams. The Ticonderoga pencil is far and away the most excellent pencil available at a store near me. I have tried other pencils that, after taking a four hour exam to add a teaching endorsement, left my finger blistered and raw. I love Ticonderoga pencils; they sharpen straight, smooth and have erasers that don’t turn into hard little stumps that smear on your exam paper. I think I may feel about the Ticonderoga as strongly as you feel about evenly space broccoli plants in a straight row. I love the Ticonderoga and I’m proud.
