Happy Monday everyone, how was your weekend? I was planning on staying inside all day yesterday to work on blog posts be then the sun came out and well, I ended up in the garden. Hey, I’ll take the sun shinning all day in February when I can get it. 😉
I planted 2 more trees {shhhhh} and worked a little more on the garden path. While I was out there my 85 year old neighbor lady came through the back of the garden and down my hill to chat a little… it was so CUTE!!! She even offered me some of her chive plants. 🙂

Hi Mavis, so glad you have such a nice neighbor. Many years ago I lived on a 1/4 acre in the country and I had Walt and Dorothy (85 and 83 yrs old) as my neighbors. They lived in a double-wide mobile and other than a patch of lawn in front the rest of their lot was garden. And holy cow those folks were hard workers! They would be up at the crack of dawn and work on and off all day long. Certainly put me to shame..I was a wimp!!! They were so wonderful though in sharing their knowledge, seeds and produce. They followed planting directions from the Farmer’s Almanac (different moon phases) and just had a magnificent garden. Wish I had them around still to pick their brains.
