My day started off with a little trip to Target:
I was able to pick up the above items for $5.34! The only thing I really needed was the baking chocolate which would have retailed for over $5.34 anyway, so I thought I did pretty good.
The 15 oz Suave shampoo bottles were .88 cents each at my Target making them FREE with $1.00 off coupons, and I was able to score FREE travel sized Degree deodorant with $1.00 off coupons as well. Then I picked up 2 of the individual peanut pouches @ .99 cents each, which were FREE of course with the $2/2 planters product coupons.
Couponing is awesome people.

Mavis,
Let me start out by saying, YOU ARE MY IDOL!! I love, love, love reading your posts here and on Fabulessly frugal!
I am the gal with the SIX BOYS!! So couponing literally SAVES MY LIFE! My kids eat so much food, especially now that it’s summertime!
Anyhow, here is what I needi from you! I have always kept all my coupons next to my comupter, colated by date in a nice box thingy. When the sales come I flip through them and clip away. I have been wanting to convert to the binder for sometime, but I just don’t know how to do it. Yesterday I found a brand new binder (for a buck at the thrift store!!) Now what? Do I clip every single coupon and put them in my binder? How do I organize them? I am assuming freezer, meat, canned goods….But how will I know what date the coupon was issued and in which insert they came from (example: 6/5/2011 RP Insert).
Thanks so much for your help!
Lori

NO… there is no need to clip every single coupon. I only clip the coupons I need for my particular shopping trip and I also clip the coupons I know I’ll for sure use (like $1/1 Kens Dressing or $1/1 Ronzoni type of coupons… ones I know I’ll be able to (most likely) get for FREE.
Personally I think clipping every single coupon is nuts…. But… that’s what I did in the beginning too… so there’s a bit of a learning curve to the whole coupon thing.
I organize mine by sections of the store: Meat, Dairy,Soup,Toiletries,Snack, Bread Aisle ect… I use 12? plastic dividers to do so plus baseball card inserts.
How do you know the date on what coupon was issued? If you go to the main page of Fabulesslyfrugal.com click on their “Coupon Data Base” and search your product. It will tell you what insert your coupon came from.
Hope that helps!
Stay Frugal,
Mavis
