I just finished watching Call the Midwife Season 5 and wanted to let you know it’s available on Netflix right now. π I LOVE this show and wish there were more quality programs like this. The British… they do it so well.
“The year is 1961, and Poplar is beginning to feel the winds of social change alongside improvements in housing, sanitation and healthcare. But for the midwives and nuns of Nonnatus House, itβs business as usual, as they continue to care for the sick and bring new life into the world. The personal and professional lives of the nurses remain entwined, as events in their work impact on their personal choices.”
Season 6 of Call the Midwife will be available from Amazon on May 23rd if you are interested.
Do YOU have a favorite series I haven’t blogged about yet? I’m always looking for something good to watch so do share, I’d love to check it out.
Peace out Girl Scouts & have yourself a great weekend,

I am with you 110% on Call the Midwife, I have also binge watched, Broadchurch, Shetland, Happy Valley, Parinoid and at the moment watching Hinteland, they are fabulous series .
Susan Robinson says
Have you seen “A Place To Call Home” and “Mercy Street” both on PBS?
Michelle says
I highly suggest Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries, all three seasons are on Netflix.
Karina Martin says
I second Mercy Street. I guess I need to donate to PBS so I can see the second season, it’s killing me that it’s out!
Also, have you ever read any Philippa Gregory books? She’s a British historian that writes awesome historical “fiction.” She bases everything on the real historical backdrop. She wrote the Other Bolyen Girl. Her books on the War of the Roses have been made into the series the White Queen (available on Amazon) and Starz just started the White Princess
