I saw De-Lovely when I was scrolling through the Amazon Prime free movies. I’d never heard of it so I’m hoping some of you can chime in if you’ve seen it and let me know if it’s any good. It gets great reviews on Amazon, so I’m thinking it should be decent. Plus, the story line sounds good. It follows the life story of songwriter, Cole Porter, during Broadway in the 20s. I like a good period piece, so I’m thinking this is what I’ll settle in to watch tonight.
Have you seen it? Did you love it? Let me know what you think if you end up watching it for the 1st time or what you thought if you’ve seen it.
Peace out Girl Scouts & have yourself a great weekend,
~Mavis

It’s funny and a bit sad. Great soundtrack and period costumes, of course. I think I bought the soundtrack a a library sale once. Classic tunes covered by contemporary artists type deal. Loved, loved night and day, for instance. And I pretty much like Kevin Kline unconditionally. Okay, except for January Man. What was THAT about anyway? I admire Kline as I do Denzel Washington and Ed Harris. All are among my favorite character actors. I think that if you like Cole Porter tune – you’ll be fine. If you like Kevin Kline – you’ll also be fine.

I watched Romeo + Juliet on Friday night. Oh be still my 90’s teenage heart! It was wonderful, if you haven’t seen it for a while. Happy weekend.

One of my favorite movies, ever. Got me into Cole Porter, who I now love. I cry every time I watch it though so have the tissues handy.
