The HH and I stared watching Mad Men a few weeks ago, and it’s shocking to see how women were treated back in the 60’s, not to mention the affairs… holy stilettos people…. aren’t those people exhausted already? Still. I. Can’t. Stop. Watching. It. What is it about shows like that?! They grab a hold of you, I tell ya. We are on season 3 right now but plan to watch them all.
Let me know what you think if you decide to watch it–or if you have already seen it. Did you love it? Hate it? Don’t you just want to slap Don Draper?
Peace out Girl Scouts & have yourself a great weekend,

I love Mad Men but something kind of funny…all the smoking always makes me so thirsty! Hard to remember a time when people actually smoked like that!

Oh my, showing my age here, but I can’t watch that show as it brings back lots of memories – I lived it! Worked at a major market TV station while going to college, and saw the other end of ad agencies – the selling of tv time, and the antics the sales people went through to get the buys. Have some really strange stories from back then. And yes, the people really did smoke that much while they worked.

I’ve watched it quite a few times and seem to get caught up in the sets and clothing. I need to start from the beginning as it seems there’s a pretty good story line there. I’ll just have to put my blinders on when there’s something I like in the background or when someone walks in with cool clothing 🙂 They def do smoke alot!

Love, love, Mad Men! My husband and I are also shocked how women acted and were treated. My mom said that was pretty much how it was. What is funny is that they always talk about the good old days and how horrible people and the crime is now but I think we have progressed a whole lot since that time!
