Madame Bovary is now on Netflix, so I decided I’m going to settle down tonight and give it a watch. The story focuses on a doctor’s wife, Emma Bovary, who has adulterous affairs and lives beyond her means in order to escape the emptiness of provincial life. It looks pretty interesting, so I’m looking forward to it.
Let me know what you think if you decide to watch it–or if you have already seen it.
Peace out Girl Scouts & have yourself a great weekend,
~Mavis

Sadly, I have DirecTV. I pay for 10G’s (60.88/month) Each hour I watch of Netflix if Amazon Prime eats up 1G. We don’t have cable. It is available 2 miles up the road from us though.
This does look good though!

Hi Mavis,
You should check out Heartland on Netflix. It’s a great family friendly show that takes place in rural Alberta. It’s a series currently on season 9, Netflix has through season 6. There seem to be fewer and fewer actual family shows and this one is awesome!

Julie, thanks for the Heartland recommendation! I just put it on my watch list.

Ooooh, this one didn’t do it for me. I watched the first 30-45 minutes and found it kinda slow. Maybe they were *really* trying to depict what her life was like before she livened it up! 8)

i agree, I got about 30 minutes in and turned it off!

My husband and I “discovered” Heartland a few months ago and love it. In the beginning it seemed the 104 episodes on netflix would last us a long time, but we are now on episode 80, watching 104 get closer. I hope Netflix will soon include the later seasons. It’s a great family-friendly show but not sappy or silly. I would think all ages would like it; we are in our sixties (gosh, that makes us sound old)!

Have you seen About Time with Dohmnall Gleeson (aka Bill Weasley) it’s so good!

I loved “About Time”. One of the quotes that really stuck with me was when Dad told Dohmnall (they both have the talent of being able to go back in time) – it went something like this. “Live each day once, then go back and live it again, but pay attention”. Great reminder for us to really live each day to the fullest and “pay attention”.
