We’re throwing it back to some old school Micheal Keaton tonight. Mr. Mom was a favorite growing up, but I haven’t seen it in years. I’m excited to revisit it! Plus, it’s free with Amazon Prime. I’m super curious to see what I think of it all these years later and from a mom perspective now. And we now live in a world where stay-at-home dads are commonplace, so I’m wondering how well received this movie would be today?
Did you watch this years ago? Did you love it? Was it a favorite? Are you a Michael Keaton fan, too?!
Peace out Girl Scouts & have yourself a great weekend,
~Mavis

Why don’t they make movies like this anymore? My husband travels and if he is gone, I don’t turn it on. There is so little on TV I want to waste my time on. I’ll read or listen to a podcast.

My Husband and I LOVE Mr. Mom!! I wish I had a nickel for every time we have said “220…221…whatever it takes”!!! Great old movie. Sears Safari Collection, LOL. We might have to watch this one again! Thanks for the reminder!

I thought Mr. Mom was funny when I was younger so I decided to try it a couple of years ago with my then 9yr old son…I totally forgot about that underlying Soap Opera thing and the other mom showing up in the trench coat and not much else! Made for an awkward conversation with my son! Haha My rule of thumb is just about any PG movie from back then would get a PG-13 rating now. I use common sense media alot to jog my memory on those older classics. A great family movie and one of our repeat favorites is “Secondhand Lions”
