The Grand Budapest Hotel is quite possibly the quirkiest movie I’ve ever seen, but the HH and I really, really liked it. Ralph Fiennes? C’mon, he’s a total hottie in my book {I’ve been in love with him since the English Patient}. Anywho, the HH picked this movie for one of our “date days” and even though we had to pay $3.99 to rent it through Amazon Video, it was worth every penny. We totally recommend it.
Let me know what you think if you decide to watch it–or if you have already seen it.
Peace out Girl Scouts & have yourself a great weekend,
~Mavis

Didn’t like the movie at all! Slow moving and story line was okay! The Best Marigold Hotel was so much better and fun to watch!

I totally agree with you Mavis. I wasn’t sure about it but I couldn’t stop watching. It is quirky! Ended up loving it, like some other (but not all) Wes.Anderson movies. Loved The Darjeeling Limited and The Fantastic Mr. Fox.

I loved it and even my husband thought it was pretty funny and nice to see something different for a change. It is a bit odd and somewhat challenging at times but I would still recommend it to my friends and family. Enjoy!

If you like this, you will like Moonrise Kingdom. It ranks as one of my favorites. Bill Murray, Jason Schwartzman, Bruce Willis, Frances McDormand. Both are by director Wes Anderson, uses many of the same folks. HYSTERICAL!!!

I was going to recommend Moon Rise Kingdom too. Some of the same actors and the same director. Loved loved loved both. BTW the bakery delivery girlfriend on The Grand Budapest Hotel was up for an Academy Award this year for Brooklyn.
She is Soirse Ronan, or however you spell her Irish name.
