Um hello. Guess who just discovered The Wonder Years are on Netflix? Yep. Kevin, Winnie, Paul. You better believe that it went straight to our watch list for this weekend. I can’t wait to start watching all of these old episodes–I bet that I will have a totally different perspective watching them as an adult.
Did you grow up watching the Wonder Years? Have your kids seen it?

Whoa, that’s SO awesome! And you’re right, I bet it will be crazy to watch it as a “grownup.” 🙂 We don’t have Netflix, but I’ll have to figure out a way to watch it. So fun!

I loved that series. Another great series from the early 90s is “I’ll Fly Away.” It takes place in the 1950s in the South with Sam Waterston as the dad. It is hard to find, but worth the search.

“Winnie Cooper” has just finished being on Dancing With the Stars. She lasted until 3 weeks ago, and was back for the finale this week. She has written at least 3 math books for girls and I think she has her doctorate. We loved Wonder Years and my dh remembers when Winnie wore fishnet tights. She is even more beautiful than she was as the much adored girl next door.

I loved the Wonder Years then, and I love it now! My 12 year old son just discovered the series this winter. He watched every single episode, and I re-watched most of them with him. So much wisdom and reality in many of those episodes. Ben asked me why some of the episodes ended so sadly, and I said, “Because that’s life sometimes.”
