I’m on a John Hughes kick lately. He seriously puts out what I would call the “classics” of the 80’s and 90’s. This weekend, I am going to watch Uncle Buck. In case you haven’t seen it, it’s about a couple who need someone to watch their kids while they head out of town on a family emergency. The only option is the husband’s less-than-desirable brother: Uncle Buck. John Candy is awesome as Uncle Buck–seriously, you will quote this movie for the rest of your life.
I love revisiting my favorite comedies. What’s your favorite John Hughes movie? Maybe I’ll add it to my fall line-up.

Mavis: I like you even more now!
This is a classic John Candy film for lighthearted folks… and every time I see a ‘2,000 Flushes’ type product in the store – I remember the phone conversation,
“Oh, I’ve just been leaving the seat up.”
-listens to other end-
“Ohhh, the blue water is bad, huh? Well, that explains (something referencing the dog’s potty color).”

Love it! One of our family favorites. I love the scene when miles and maizy want to sleep in the same bed with uncle buck. Ha ha Cracks me up!

Love this movie! If my son had been a girl, his (her) name would have been Maisie 🙂 Not as an Uncle Buck reference necessarily, just that we loved the name.
