I recently discovered the show Big Dreams Small Spaces with host Monty Don on Netflix and I am in love with the show. As you all know by now, I love British programming for their much slower approach and real life {and less edited and gimmicky} filming techniques and well, this show is spot on. So if you are itching to get outside and dig in the dirt but can’t just yet, I highly recommend making yourself a nice cuppa, and settling in for season 1 of Big Dream Small Spaces. I’m pretty sure you are going to love it. Thanks Johanne for the recommendation!
Peace out Girl Scouts & have yourself a great weekend,
~Mavis

I’ve seen some of his shows before. I am glad to know they are on Netflix so I can watch them. I am toying with the idea of getting a small greenhouse and have been looking at inspiration pics all day. I need the cold weather to move on!

How good is Poh? We live in Adelaide too and have eaten at her place in the Central Markets. It’s such a great market.

My husband and I have been watching that garden show as well. You’re right, it’s not as shiny and gimmicky as other shows which is probably why we enjoy it. We love British television too. Wish we could get BBC America channel, but we don’t have cable.

Big Monty Don fan here! I’ve followed him since his first tv stuff in the 90s on a show called This Morning. He was a jewellery designer in the 80s then his company went bust. He turned to gardening as therapy. Then he got his own series with his wife Sarah called Fork to Fork (dunno if it’s available online) He’s currently the main presenter on the BBC’s Gardener’s World, 2018 series started a few weeks ago. He had a stroke a few years ago and has talked very openly about his mental health struggles. Lovely man 🙂
