Recently I told you about the tea service at The Grey House Café in Port Orchard, Washington. We loved it and couldn’t stop raving. I mentioned it was owned by Debbie Macomber and I got so many comments about a series called Cedar Cove, based on her books. Well I’m taking your advice and watching it because it’s free on Netflix right now. It does look awesome, but I’m afraid I’m going to get sucked in and then have a full-on Netflix binge this weekend. If you’ve seen it, do you think that’ll happen? Did you love it, too?
Let me know what you think if you decide to watch it.
Peace out Girl Scouts & have yourself a great weekend,
~Mavis

I’ve been a fan of her books for years now and caught Cedar Cove when it first came out. I happen to think Andie McDowell is one of the most beautiful women ever, so it’s nice that she is just as good of an actress.
It’s a clean show and I enjoy all the different story arcs.

I did enjoy this series and watched all the seasons when it was on the hallmark channel. I was disappointed when they cancelled it. It wasn’t the most riveting thing I ever watched but it was family friendly which is important to me, and I enjoyed the characters. It’s more character driven than plot driven.

The books are a good relaxing read. 🙂 If you get the chance another great Hallmark series is When Calls the Heart. It is very clean and family friendly. My nieces (12, 10, 7, 5) and nephews (13 year old twins) all love it. We watch it together on Sunday evenings at my moms. 🙂
Debbie Macomber is my favorite author!

I also highly recommend When Calls the Heart. It’s a Canadian-American show. I saw that a new season is coming out soon. Yippee!

The series does not follow the books exactly but what movie or TV show ever does? It is still really good and I did binge watch it. I got a lot of knitting done! You won’t regret spending the time to watch it. Too bad it ended after Season 3.

I love the scenery in and that show more than the story. The locations are gorgeous

We enjoyed the series but were disappointed that it ended abruptly without resolving the plot lines.

Having lived in PO for ten years now we (as in I made my husband watch too lol) loved the TV shows! We both work for the City here and people often ask us about “Cedar Cove” and where certain locations are and if there are similarities in the City! Debbie is a delight and her books are fantastic!
