I was looking for a good documentary and Amazon actually recommended Truth in Numbers? Everything According to Wikipedia. It’s free with Amazon Prime, so I thought it would be perfect for tonight. It’s a documentary that “explores the history and cultural implications of the online, user-editable encyclopedia Wikipedia. The film considers the question of whether all individuals or just experts should be tasked with editing an encyclopedia.”
I’ve always wondered about that so I think it’ll be pretty thought provoking. Should we create our own history or leave it to the experts. Who are these experts and what gives one the authority to write history? Do you think it matters?
Let me know what you think if you decide to watch it or what you thought if you have already seen it.
Peace out Girl Scouts & have yourself a great weekend,

I use Wiki for things like what album was this song on (I know, showing my age, ALBUM! LOL!) but for history, biographical, stuff, I generally don’t believe ALL that is on there. I think that since anyone can edit, you do get more opinion/slant than elsewhere – but then I guess that can be said for any media outlet. I say, look at all the info out there and make your best judgement.

I didn’t even realize it could be edited by anyone? I guess it’s a good thing I still have my old set of encyclopedias.
