Update: This Giveaway Is Now Closed
I don’t know about you, but I LOVE receiving care packages with food in them. Especially packages with fresh fruit!
If you’ve never had a Maui Gold pineapple before, well then, let me tell you this; Maui Gold pineapples taste nothing like the pineapples you’ll find in your average grocery store.
Maui Gold pineapples are the sweetest and best tasting pineapples on the planet earth in my humble opinion and I LOVE giving them as gifts. And by gifts I mean not one pineapple… or two. But a case of pineapples {25 pounds!} shipped directly from the farm.
I like sending a case of pineapples rather than flowers because it’s such a fun and unexpected thing to receive in the mail. And also, hello… who in the world sends someone 25 pounds of pineapples?
The smell, the freshness, the joy, the hilarious PANIC that washes over you as you are trying to figure out what in the world you are going to do with a bunch of fruit before it goes bad… It makes me smile everytime I think about that scene in Everybody Loves Raymond.
Fresh tasty pineapples, straight from Maui… Who wouldn’t love that!?
Giveaway
Two lucky people will each win a case of 25 pounds of Maui Gold Pineapple {That’s 7-8 pineapples! YeeeeeHaaaaw!}
All you have to do to enter this giveaway is let me know what you plan on doing with 25 pounds of Maui Gold pineapple if you win. That’s it. That’s all you have to do.
Life, it’s pretty complicated sometimes, so I like to keep my giveaways pretty simple around here.
1 entry per person/ip address. If you cheat, you will totally be disqualified. {Comments may take an hour or two to be cleared, so please be patient}.
This giveaway ends Saturday, December 2nd @8 pm EST and the winners will be announced on Sunday, December 3rd. You will be notified via email and have 48 hours to claim your prize. If you do not claim your prize within 48 hours, the prize will be forfeited.
>>> This giveaway prize can only be shiped within the United States of America. <<<
Good Luck! I hope you win!
~Mavis

A hint to the gang here-Try to capture any pineapple juice that tries to escape. In addition to mixing it with OJ, etc., fresh pineapple juice can tenderize meat due to the bromelain content. It also is a good dip/soaking medium for carrots or fruits such as
apples prior to dehydrating them. Consider wearing gloves while working with the fresh pineapple. Your skin is a “meat” that might not appreciate the marination.

It’s just my husband and I at our house, so I’d keep one or two for us, give one to each of our kids (2), and the rest I’d give to a woman I met during the pandemic, who sourced food for folks in need, and delivered to those families. She is just a woman in the community, but when she sees a need, she seeks a way to fill it. At this Thanksgiving, she had a pickup full of turkeys, hams, chicken and pies that she delivered. I’d love to give the remaining pineapples to her to distribute to some folks that wouldn’t otherwise get a pineapple to enjoy.

How sweet of you to give pineapples away! If I won I would definitely give most of them to family & friends. Then I would enjoy one for myself.
Thanks for the opportunity to maybe get to taste this delicious fruit. If I don’t win I’ll just have to be happy with a store bought one.

Holey moley did this giveaway start such a wonderful “what if we won” conversation between me and our son! He has really been spreading his creative wings the past couple of years researching and trying recipes from around the world. After sharing some with our family; we would freeze some for smoothies and/or adding to our water. The rest we would use in recipes like stir fried rice, pork dishes and anything else our cooking genius comes up with as everything he makes is super yummy!! Thank you for sparking a great conversation and for the opportunity to win a terrific prize. Happy Holidays!
