It’s Girl Scout cookie time! Just in time to ruin all of your New Year’s resolutions! Those little Girl Scouts are smart. They know when to swoop in and dangle those delicious little cookies under your nose. You’ve avoided sugar or carbs or fat for months, and you’re probably ready to gnaw off your own arm. And then you see them standing there all adorable peddling cookies.
Of course you can’t say no! So you buy a box. Or 12. No judgement here.
After all, I was a Girl Scout. I sold cookies, wore my badge-filled sash proudly and even had the most awesome time ever at Girl Scout Camp. I was a tween and it was the best summer of my life. I learned to sail, got my head checked for lice, made tiki torches out of Kotex pads, made arts and crafts, used an outhouse, slept in a cabin with no doors, and sang some really cool camp songs that I still remember to this day. It was the seriously the best summer ever!
So in honor of my Girl Scout heritage, I am giving away 4 cases of Girl Scout Cookies: 2 cases of Thin Mints, 1 case of Samoas and 1 case of Tagalongs {check out all the Girl Scout cookie descriptions}.
Wahooooo!
4 lucky readers will win 1 case of cookies. And no, you aren’t even required to share with your spouse, kids or neighbors. But, if you win and you don’t want that temptation anywhere near you, I am more than happy to ship your case to any military member anywhere overseas.
All you have to do to enter this giveaway is leave a comment below and let us know: Of the 3 types of cookies I’m giving away {Tagalongs, Thin Mints, Samoas} what is your very favorite cookie? Oh, and what will you do with your 12 boxes of Girl Scout cookies if you win? Eat them all? Give them away? Shellac them for all eternity? We want to know!
Just answer those questions and you’re entered to win. Life’s pretty complicated sometimes, so I like to keep things simple around here.
Rules
1 entry per person/ip address. If you cheat, you will totally be disqualified.
I will ship these cookies ANYWHERE on the planet earth, so go ahead and enter.
This giveaway ends Sunday, March 2nd, 2014 @6 pm PST and the winners will be announced in the Monday, March 3rd, 2014 edition of Mornings with Mavis. You will be notified via email and have 48 hours to claim your prize. If you do not claim your prize within 48 hours, the cookies will be donated to Operation Gratitude.
Good Luck! I hope you win.
Peace Out Girl Scouts!
♥ Mavis

Oh !! Thin Mints !! I’d eat some for me and share a few with family & friends, then the rest would go to a project that some of us who graduated from the same high school are doing. We have a monthly dinner and each of us brings something to put in a box for giving away during the holidays.

About the lice check. I was surprised to find so many people are “in the dark” when it comes to lice. One of my daughter’s camp counselors (not a girl scout camp) said they fell out of the tree in front of the parking lot so don’t stand under it. A study in the UK and European Journal of Pediatrics found success with coconut oil, which dissolves the exoskeleton. Apple Cider Vinegar dissolves the nit glue. You can use these products daily if you need to because they are non-toxic. Here is the simplest explanation I have found after lots of web research, http://coconutoil.com/natural-head-lice-treatment-with-coconut-oil-and-apple-cider-vinegar/ (P.S. Dawn dishwashing detergent as a shampoo after the coconut oil treatment will take out all that grease in your hair. Choose any cookie for me and forward it to your favorite service member, as it is my 15 year old son’s dream to join the army.
Chanda says
Thin mints please share them with friends

Amanda says
Thin Mints! Honestly, the husband will probably beat the rest of us to them.
Patti says
Love love love the thin mints! My parent’s company had a contract with the Girl Scouts and made thin mints in their baking company. And no we did not get to sample these! I will definitely hoard them, put some deep in the freezer and other super secret hiding places.
Lorrie says
I love Tagalongs. I would send in a box to my son’s classroom for a special snack and share the rest with my son and husband (after I hide a few boxes for myself 😉 )

Christine Johnson says
I don’t care which flavor… Send them to the troops!
Crystal says
Samoas are my favorite and have been since I was a Girl Scout! I will eat some and share some. My husband loves them too. A box rarely lasts an entire night in our house!
Meredith says
My most favorite girl scout cookie is the tagalong! Some of the boxes I will freeze and the rest I will serve at storytime! I make snacks every week for storytime at a local church and having the cookies would give me the night before off!
Kathy says
Thin mints. And I would totally share with my mom and her CNA at the rehab center she is currently in after bypass surgery. 4 cookies is the max mom can have so the rest would go to her evening CNA and nurses.
Karen Kline says
I will share with my son who is coming back from a year in South Korea and with my grandbabies who I can never say no to.
Ashley W says
It’s a toss up between Samoas and Thing Mints for me. I would definitely have to share them though. Maybe with my Book Club friends and the women I volunteer with, and of course my family. I’m pregnant and my OB says I can only gain 20 more lbs so unfortunately I shouldn’t eat them all by myself 😉
Cheryl says
Anything but the thin mints….love the Samoas and Tag-a-longs. And think you, I missed them coming around this year.

We would keep a few boxes, and donate the rest to our local no-kill animal shelter, Bay Path, for their volunteers to have a treat after they’ve been out walking dogs in the Polar Vortex!

Thin mints have alway been my favorite. So if I win a staff for me and of course I’ll share a little.
Desiree says
Samoas!!! It’s my kryptonite! And I’m 5 months pregnant craving every sweet known to man! I would eat a box or two, give away some boxes to a few friends that are deploying soon and make my husband take the rest to his company (he’s in the army) for them to eat!

No need to enter, I have 1000 cases in my storage area, waiting to be sold by my troop of 15 beautiful girls waiting for sales to start Friday. I just wanted to say a bit THANK YOU for supporting the Girl Scouts with their cookie sales. The girls work super hard at their budgeting, merchandising, selling, and, of course, spending! As someone that lives at a local Girl Scout camp, I also wanted to say thanks for encouraging girls going to camp. They have the best time ever! Thank you so much!
Mary Ann says
Thin Mints are the best Girl Scout cookie ever!!!
A couple boxes would go in the freezer (way in the back) for later. One box would be opened immediately and shared with whoever is in the house at that time. The remaining boxes would be distributed to my nephews and neighbors with kids.
Bea says
Tag-a-longs or Thin mints please. I’d enjoy 1 box and then donate to our church food pantry…….ever in need of healthy food, but, a treat would be welcome too.
Christina says
Thin mints are my fave. Let’s face it I will eat most of them but I guess I could share a few boxes. 😉
Lesley Parent says
Hi Mavis! My very favorite are Thin Mints, BUT THEY HAVE TO BE FROZEN! This is the way I was raised and it is how I’m raising my teens. Each sleeve of Thin Mints is removed from its green box and placed into the freezer. Probably this first happened in order to make the cookies last longer … however, the reality is that it makes them go faster because they taste even better.
I was my daughter’s troop leader for years. GO GIRL SCOUTS! Lesley
Debbie K says
I would love the Thin mints! I would share, promise!
Melody says
I love mints best but any are a blessing to a woman who lives on little who has friends in the same spot,we share.
Rachael Telford says
the Samoas. Oh yum. I would share them with my husband while we binge watch Netflix. Thank you for offering the giveaway!
Bethany James says
Tag a longs all the way!
Tina says
I am a thin mint girl myself. Former Girl Scout leader for 6 years with daughter. She sold 900+ boxes every year to put herself through summer camps all around the Puget Sound. I love freezing them and take them out little by little (hahaha) over time. Great frozen or crumbled on ice cream or homemade shakes. Few boxes to go to my son, Marc, serving his country as a Hospital Corpman in Italy. Just a little bit of home. We use to do alot of donations for “Operation Cookie Drop” for the troops at NAS Whidbey prior to moving down here. GO GIRL SCOUTS!
Kayla Eason says
Thin mints all the way! I’d consider sharing some and tuck some away in the freezer. 😉 Yumm!!
Jessica A says
Samoas for sure or smooches as we call them in our house 🙂 I would keep some share some and add the rest to the food bank collection at my kids school
Laura says
Thin Mints of course!! I would share a few boxes with family then put the rest in the freezer and eat them all year long! They are great frozen!
Krista says
Thin Mints all the way, baby! We love them frozen. I have 2 teen sons that would make quick work of that case.
Christine says
Tagalongs!! I have 5 kids, so it wouldn’t be hard at all for the 7 us to eat these (way too fast)!
Diana says
I love Samoas! I would have you donate them to a local food pantry. Everyone needs a fun treat once in a while!
pam says
I would love the thin mints! I too was a girl scout! and I would share for sure!
Allison says
I love thin mints! I would definitely share with my friends. We live in Canada and miss girl scout cookies. Canadian Girl Guides have them too, but the varieties are different and they are not as good!
Heather says
Thin mints. The are the best in the world.
Donna Jantzer says
Thin Mints have always been my favorite. I am an old girl scout, (much older than you); my mom was our leader. I went to girls scout camp, too! But in Eastern WA. Later I was a leader for my three Girls. Sold MANY, MANY boxes of those cookies! I always buy some when I get the opportunity. Paying it forward. I am now a cub scout den leader and what I would do with my cookies, if I win, is torture my cubs scouts. They declare they despise anything that is girl scout related, as I try to teach them songs, and other things I learned in girl scouts. I don’t think they would pass on the cookies, though!
Deb Blee says
thin mints!
thin mints are the best!! . but I cant eat them anymore so, if i win, I would like to donate them to my local food pantry.
I did get my hands one a few packs of the gluten free cookies they dropped in select test markets this year – chocolate chip shortbread – yawn… they totally should have made a gluten free thin mints!!!
Barbara says
Not entering the contents. Just a thank you to you Mavis for supporting Girl Scouts. We are in the middle of sales here and appreciate everyone who buys cookies. It really does help the girls learn how to run a business to earn money to spend on things like camping.
Catherine says
I am all about Samoas. Yum, yum, yum. My kids would probably prefer Thin Mints, though, so I guess I’d pick those. I certainly don’t NEED 12 boxes of Samoas all for me…or do I? 😉
I’d share with family & friends – – enough cookies to go around.
Sandra G says
Samoas!…or thin mints…who can choose?! YUM! I will share one or two w/ the family…maybe 🙂
Julie A. says
Samoas are my favorite. I would share them with my 3 teenage boys!
Kelli says
Samoas!!! If I win please send them to the military hero of your choice! They’re all heros, but just in case you have a favorite!
Nicole Wenzel says
Definitely the thin mints. I would have to share them with my kids or they would never forgive me.
Tanya says
Thin mints!!!! I will eat them all myself! Ok maybe I’ll share a few with my hubby and kids. But seriously most of them will be mine!
cheryl bramblett says
Thin mints! Yummy
Tina says
Thin Mints! I would share with the whole family..I’ve already eaten 2 or 3 boxes myself….:)
Ashley says
Tagalongs! I’m due with baby #3 in May, so I’d use them as my food source when there’s no time to eat, and I’d bribe my first 2 children into behaving with them. 😉
Elena says
Thin mints or samoas are my favorite and I would hide in a dark room and gobble them all up! That, and add them to home made ice cream.
Manette Gutterman says
I would have to take the Samoas and kick those resolutions to the curb alittle;)
Tammy Ward says
I confess I am a Thin Mint junkie!!
Peggy Ann says
Thin Mints! I would share with the family but maybe stash a box or two just for me.
laura s. says
samoas and id share them with friends.
Kate says
I’m addicted to the Thin Mints. However, last year my boyfriend convinced me to try the Samoas. So, now I’m hooked on both. Oh my gosh SO YUMMY!!! Best time of year!
suzanne hissung says
I should not enter this contest but….cookies!
cb says
Thin Mints or Samoas? Tough choice, we usually buy both. I usually eat 1 Samoa cookie and 3 or 4 Thin Mint cookies so I gotta go with Thin Mints. 12 boxes is a LOT! I’d have to spread the rest of the love around the neighborhood The guys next door, the homeless guy on the corner, my fave grocery store clerk, and the rest would go to the mental health facility that operates a day program for mentally disabled people. They like cookies or anything I bring ’em. (They get a lot of my extra coupon goodies.) Thanks for the contest!
pam jacobs says
I seriously love Samoas. To the point where I get the knockoffs at Dollar General. Not as good. If I won them, I would scurry to the nearest room with a door and hide there with them until it was safe; i.e., till they were gone.
Tracey says
SAMOAS and I would eat them until I went into a sugar coma.
Heather says
Somoas baby!
Alison says
Mmmmm… Tagalongs 🙂
Dawna M. says
I love Samoas….they are called Carmel Delites here…must be a regional thing? I would take some to work to share, and share with my family.
Katie terry says
Thin mints… Ration them throughout the year!:)
Lana says
Yum! Tagalongs! One box for each month of the year if we put them in the freezer 🙂
Jessica H says
Oh, geez!! Those are my three favorite girl scout cookies. I would like any of them, and I would share with my family. Maybe….
Jessica says
Samoas!!! I would hide a box for myself, because I’m a nibbler and it’d take me forever to eat a box, give a box to my husband and son, and take the rest down to church on Sunday. I love hanging out after church to visit during cookie time, but I don’t eat the cookies cause I’m so picky, lol.
Sarah says
Thin mints! And I’d totally eat them all… maybe let hubs have a couple…. after he cleans the house 🙂
Tina B says
That’s a tough question to answer, Mavis! I’m such a fan of peanut butter and chocolate that I would have to say the Tagalongs are my most favorite, followed closely by Samoas, then by Thin Mints. I have 5 kids, 3 of whom no longer live at home, so I would share the case of cookies with them as well as the 2 kids still at home, and my husband, because I’m nice like that. They would eat theirs all up right away. I would savor mine for the next few months, as I have worked so hard to drop 71lbs in the past year and a half, and don’t want to gain it all back! 🙂
Veronica Vatter says
Tagalongs!
MARY MOUGEOT says
I LOVE THEM ALL, I WILL EAT THEM ALL!!!!!
Christel says
I love the Somoas…or as they are called around here Caramel delights…Love love love them.. But I was diagnosed as diabetic a few months ago, so if I am chose, I would just automatically have them donated to OPERATION GRATITUDE!!! Thanks for the opportunity.
MaryBeth says
I love thin mints!! And I would like to think I’d share them but I probably won’t. Straight to the freezer they’d go, because nothing beats a frozen thin mint 🙂
april may says
love samoas. i would eat alot and share some
Sherry in Sumner says
Thin Mint Girl Scout cookies are the best cookies on earth, so that is what I would love to win. And I would share all (well, okay, most) of them when we have our extended family picnic at our house. Thanks, Mavis.
Christel says
I don’t think my first one posted…At least I hope not…I don’t see it…So…anyways..Somoas or Caramel Delights as they are called around here…my all time favorite. I love love love them..but I was diagnosed with Diabetes a few months ago, so since I can’t eat them, If chosen I would automatically donate to OPERATION GRATITUDE!!!!
Kelly Albertson says
I love Thin Mints and Samosas the same. Thin mints take a slight edge, if necessary, because they are thinner and there are more in a box, lol. We have teen and adult boys/men here, so some will get eaten here and some will be shared with Bible study classes.
Kim says
Thin Mints are my favorites…but I would give my winnings away. My oldest daughter is in her first year of girl scouts so I would allow her to pass them out to some worthy candidates that wouldn’t otherwise have the extra money to purchase their own boxes.
Jill says
Thin mints but I like all Girl Scout cookies – and a little fun fact, here in South Carolina they are called Thin Mints but the others are called Peanut Butter Patties and Caramel Delites – because they are baked by a different baker. And I was a Girl Scout, my two daughters were Girl Scouts and I was a Brownie and Girl Scout leader for 9 years, including a Cookie Mom for 2 years. Love me some Girl Scouts and Girl Scout cookies!
Arbie Good fellow says
Thin Mints! I will eat one box … give my kids each a box for Easter and freeze the rest for summertime fun!
Christy says
Samoas! My daughter would be so thrilled
Annie Pawol says
Thin mints for sure. Might take the “1 for you, 2 for me” approach!
Edith says
Thin Mints! My daughter and I will gobble them up together 🙂
Emily S. says
I would be lying if I said I’d do something noble with any Thin Mints that I would win.. I would keep them to myself, and possibly share them with my spouse and children. Maybe. 😉
Tonya says
Thin Mints please. I would share some w/ my Mama, keep 2 boxes for myself & add the rest to Easter Baskets I am donating to my local domestic violence shelter.
Perry says
Thin Mints and make lots and lots of shakes!
Karin Williams says
My faves are Samoas – they will be lovingly dipped into my afternoon splosh of Earl Grey Tea and then gently savored and then I will scour the bottom of my cup for coconut and chocolate remnants – this event will happen daily until they are all gone or until I can not fit into my trousers (whichever happens first)
Brandi O says
Tagalongs are my favorite. And Ill probably horde them 🙂
Mindy says
It’s all about the Thin Mints. I might give a couple boxes away, but I’d also bake up some brownies with them and give them to teachers and neighbors. The rest I’d put in the freezer. Well, except for those two boxes I’d shovel into my mouth as fast as I could. 🙂
Mary Baggs says
Samosa, but any would be nice. I have a big family and would share.
Lynn says
I love them all but I vote for Tagalongs and would eat them with the family.
Christine says
The Thin Mints have always been my favorite of the bunch! If I were to win these delicious treats, I would naturally have them shipped to my son on the USS Harry S Truman, where he has been deployed since July.
Barb says
I love Thin Mints and also the Tagalongs. I haven’t tried the Samoas, but I did buy a box this year because I keep trying different things with coconut to see if I like ’em. I would have you send the cookies to a military member because we just can’t have that temptation around!
Katie says
Thin Mints! Love them, and would be happy to share with the teachers at my daughter’s school.
Nancy R. says
Thin mints are my favorite! But honestly, I wouldn’t turn down any of them. My husband’s favorite is the Tagalongs and my daughter loves the Samoas…but none of us is picky when it comes to GS cookies!
Andrea D says
Samoas!! Unless I can hide them in the freezer before the hubby and kids see them I will be forced to share. I’m not sure what is going on with the girl scouts in my area but I have not seen a single girl selling cookies this time! Wish I knew where they were all hiding so I could get my fix 🙂 Thanks for another great giveaway!
Kristin Condon says
I love Thin Mints!!! Samoas too (though here in Houston, they’re called Caramel Delites. Weird, I know, as I’m from California and they’re always Samoas there). I’d definitely share with neighbors, co-workers, the mail carrier – no way could I eat that many!!!
Sandy says
The thin mints have been my favorite since I was a Girl Scout back when dirt was still new! They are even better when they are frozen. Thanks for the opportunity to win a whole case. Wow!!!! I would think I was in Girl Scout heaven.
Karen W says
Tagalongs!!! Then The mints!
Dianna says
I love thin mints! I’m pretty sure I like tagalongs too but we only ever buy thin mints because they’re so good out of the freezer, which is where I would put them.
Linden says
Tagalongs! And I will have to hide them from everyone else!

Thin mints, baby!
Liz says
Tagalongs are my very favorites, and the local girl scouts selling in front of the grocery store were out when I went by! I’d probably scarf half a box myself, then hide the rest from my fiance!
Beryl says
Love them all but mostly THIN MINTS!! As much as I’d like to keep them all to myself, I definitely would share with my kids and grand kids.
Anne L says

Noelle says
We would love to win a case of samoas! They are my husband’s favorite and I would surprise him with them on Father’s Day. Our family of 4 wouldn’t eat all of them, so we would donate 3 boxes to my son’s school and 3 boxes to my daughters toddler library group. Thank you!!

Pam says

Ingrid says
Oh how fun! I hope I win Thin Mints – thank you for the opportunity!

Cherice says
Thin Mints! I would share them with my husband on date nights at home.

Winding the old trails, rocky and long……………..
ha…10 years a Girl Scout and I may be aging myself but when we sold cookies all we had were Trefoils (also know as shortbread cookies). They were 50 cents a box!
But I sure do love the new flavors!!! And Thin Mint are my favorites…would keep one box and let you ship the rest out to the troops
Kimberly P says
My personal favorite is Samoas however this giveaway is not for me. My younger brother is getting ready to deploy for the 2nd time and I would love to send his unit a little piece of the USA. I think Thin Mints would be perfect! Thanks for this fantastic opportunity!
paula says
I would love the Tagalongs! They are my favorite Girl Scout cookie. Sad to say, I would eat them. However I would share with my family.
Sherri says
I am not sure which is my favorite, Thin Mints or the Samoas, they both are so wonderful. I would eat some, share some with my kids and Grandkids. With a case I would share some with our AWANA kids and 4H kids.
Olga Merela says
The samoas are my favorite while the thin mints are my husband’s. So we would need to have a case each of those and the other two case could be sent overseas to some very deserving person. I am sure our cookies would taste better to us knowing that we had shared the other two boxes. Thanks for the reminder that it is girl scout cookie time!
Angela Wilson says
Thin Mints! I’d throw them in the freezer and try to make them last a bit longer, but who are we kidding?
kate says
we would love the thin mints. we would share them with the adult kids and their families. we have 2 adult sons that have 2 small ones each. then, my husband has a sister close by with her son. his mother lives next door. then, we would send by mail a few boxes to his sisters in alaska and texas and my sister in arkansas.
to make it even more fun, we could warm up some marshmellows and make thin mint mellow sandwiches. muhaha!
hope we win!
darlene wetzel says
My favorites are Samoas. I would eat some, share some and probably freeze some for when I have some late night cravings.
Barbara Harvey says
Samoas because they are my moms (who is 85 and blind) favorite cookie. I get and give my mom anything she wants and this would just make her day. Thanks for having this give away Mavis. you rock!
Valerie Giesen says
My favorite would have to be the Samoas! I would eat a box.. hide a box for later ( so my hubby can’t find it) then I would share with my son school! Okay and maybe give a box to my hubby.
Dale Ann says
Thin mints are my absolute favorite!!! Somoa’s come in second…
What would I do with them? Well…I know I’d have to eat some! Mmmmmm Mmmmmm. But the rest I’d be sharing with my daughter, son, son-in-law, grandkids, and my parents who (when I was young) loved buying a few boxes every year on their meager earnings to help out the girl scouts plus offer us a rare treat. Unfortunately they no longer buy these cookies for themselves as scouts no longer visit their door, and their small pension doesn’t allow such treats any longer.
Karen H says
We love Samoas. I would share some boxes with my neighbors and my Mother and freeze the rest for later.
Madison L. says
Yay Samoas! I would eat some and begrudgingly give the rest to friends and family.
Dorothea says
So hard to choose! I’d say Thin Mints are probably my favorite though. Oh, and after hoarding a few boxes in the freezer, I’d definitely share the rest with my son and his family – who all love the combo of mint and chocolate as much as I do!
Lynn says
Thin mints! I’d give them all to my husband cause he LOVES cookies and I love him 🙂
Ernest says
Thin Mints! Can’t get too many.
Kristy says
Samoa’s! All the way!! Love love love them!! If I won, I would definitely share them! Okay, maybe not the Samoa’s, hehe. My hips will thank me for it 😉
Jamie G says
Thin mints. I would freeze half of them and let my husband eat them by the sleeve. I would give half to my nieces and nephews.
Marie says
Tagalongs! Would eat some and share some…well I would try to share!
Melinda D says
It’s a toss up between Samoas and Thin Mints. I love them both! But, I would probably send them to work with my husband so that he could share them with the other soldiers there.
Lisa L says
Samoas. I would probably eat every.single.one. I like them so much. So….I would donate them overseas.
Suzoid says
Thin Mints chopped in the blender and mixed with homemade vanilla ice cream. Yum!
Allison says
I was a Brownie, Girl Scout, and Cadet! Loved our adventures, earning badges, selling Girl Scout cookies, and eating Girl Scout cookies even more! My VERY favorite cookie has always been the SAMOA! Yum, that chocolatey caramel crunch! And, oh yeah, I’ll freeze them and most likely eat all of them by myself…and share an occasional one or two with my hubby and twin girls!
Eliza says
Tagalongs! For me!!
Courtney says
Simoas and tag a longs please!
Tamsyn says
I absolutely adore Samoas!! I’m salivating just thinking about them (sorry, haven’t eaten since lunch time and I’m having that 4 pm slump). I would eat some and share some with my sons and daughters-in-law. I would also give a couple of boxes to the kid that shovels the snow from our walkway – he’s definitely earned them this winter!
Kimmie says
I imagine thin mints would be my favorite (I’m not able to eat them…) I would send them to our troops who put their lives on the line so we can enjoy our freedom!!
Jami T says
Hands down–Samoas!! I would like to say I would share the cookies, but honestly, I would selfishly gobble them all down and not share a crumb. Just keepin it real…
Mary Neathway says
Don’t have tagalongs or samosa in Canada, just chocolate and vanilla cookie sandwiches (like Oreos). I spent too many years as a Brownie and Guide leader, organizing cookie sales. So, if I win, give whatever kind you like to the military with my blessings! Heaven knows I don’t need the calories
Kelli says
Somoas are my very favorite. I might be a little selfish and stick some of them away when I can’t get them anymore but I would share them with my family.
Meg Bergman says
Samoas are my real favorite, but I love the mint too. Something about mint and dark chocolate make me feel a little less guilty about eating them . I would definitely share them!!
Janet W. says
I love the Samoas. I would share them with my entire family so everyone got a taste.
Teri J says
My very favorite are Thin Mints(to bad they don’t make you Thin). I would share with my family and would stick most in the freezer hoping they would last us longer. It didn’t help last time though because frozen Thin Mints are wonderful as well.
sharon says
Thin mints! of course
Anastasia says
Samoas are my absolute favorite! I would eat a lot of those cookies, but I would share them with the family too 🙂
PeggyK says
Send them to the troops. Samoas are our family’s favorite. Nice thing you are doing!!
Linda says
Love the TAGALONGS!!!!! So yummy!!! And I’d share them with my kids at church. My husband and I both teach children’s missions at our church and they love it when we bring snacks. There’s nothing like summer camp and thanks for supporting Girl Scouts!!! Good times and great memories!!
Susan M. says
First of all, you really made me laugh~ “made tiki torches out of Kotex pads” I was a girl scout, and we never did that. LOL. OK, if I won, I would definately want the Samoas~ I would keep one box for myself. Well, maybe 2….;-) I would be happy to donate some to our local food bank, as well as give some to some fellow co-workers who are also having having to pinch pennies.
Helen in Meridian says
Thin Mints are the only way to go. Share with the dh, of course. Show us your sash and all your badges. Did you compete all the badges available? I’ll bet you did.
Diane says
Has to be Samoas – caramel trumps EVERYTHING in my book (except maybe chocolate)! And I will share them with unsuspecting friends, in self defense, because I do not want to weigh 450 pounds by next Wednesday. Cheers!
Diana T. says
Totally torn between Tagalongs and Samoas…and I would eat them ALL!!
Christine says
Samoas! I would eat any that my son doesn’t find first! YUMMO
Niki C says
Thin mints or Tag Alongs, they are both heaven on earth! I would attempt to hide them so I can eat them myself, but te reality is my ten children would find them and I would have to share.
Jennifer says
I would love the thin mints. If I won, I would share them with my family. We have discovered the joy of making pudding and having a couple of girl scout cookies to dip into the pudding for dessert!!! So delicious!!!!
Sandy says
Tag Alongs…yummmy. If I win, please donate. Thanks!
Amy E says
Oh. My. Goodness. The tagalongs, without a doubt. In my area, all of the girl scout cookies changed names a few years ago. I think it had something to do with them being sourced from a different bakery. The new cookies are a pretty close approximation to the originals, but there’s something not quite perfect about them. It would be awesome to have a whole case of my old favorites. I’d hoard them, and ration them out little by little!
Sherilsl says
Oh how I love the thin mints! I’d eat some now and freeze the rest to use in recipes throughout the year.
Vicky T. says
Oh, wow – it would be thin mints for sure! We are BBQ judges and after you finish tasting BBQ meat for four hours, all you want is something sweet. I would take them along to share with other judges after an event.
Anne says
YUM!!!! All of them!!! But, as insanely delicious as all of those are, and as much as I’d like to dive into an entire case and NOT SHARE WITH ANYONE – I’d ask you to send them overseas to a military service member. I have three kids in the Army, and I know what that kind of goodie means to them. So … for the sake of my hips and the seams on my clothes, and to put a smile on a troop’s face – send ’em over there! And thank you for such a generous contest, Mavis! Love reading your posts and look forward to it.
Shannon says
Thin mints are my favorite. Thanks for the give away!
Jan says
With 6 grandchildren, I sure would be popular with a case of Girl Scout cookies. Who doesn’t love a good cookie?

AJ says
Oh dear, if I HAVE to pick, it’d probably be Thin Mints but those 3 are my favorites! I might share with my family… if they’re nice really, really nice to me. 🙂
Allison says
I love all 3, but I think Tagalongs are my favorite! I would love for you to send them overseas:)
Ashley Miller says
I think the Thin Mints are my favorite, but I’d happily eat just about any cookie you put in front of me. We’re an American family living in Brazil, so if I won, I’d keep a few boxes for us and then spread the love to some of our American expat friends.
Heidi Ho says
SAMOAS BABY! OH YEA! I would eat some and share some with my family and friends… maybe use some as bribery for….?….. whatever I decide. 🙂

Janice says
Of course my choice is gonna be the world famous THIN MINTS!!! They have been my fav’s since I was a Brownie & Girlscout, some FIFTY years ago! I can eat a whole box all by myself….no kidding! Of course, then I’m as sick as a dog. Soooooo, with much reluctance, and giving my already HUGE butt a chance, I would donate my box of THIN MINTS to my son, Lt. Commander, Craig Rowland, and his family. They just recently returned from a 4 year stay in Okinawa, as my son built the new Hospital there. He just got back to San Diego, and finished up the Camp Pendleton Hospital, and now he’s working on the one in Guam. He can use the energy from a case of THIN MINTS…..which are his favorite too! 🙂

Anything with peanut butter…. Especially the peanut butter patties…. AHhhhhhhhhh heck I would be thrilled with any of them… And it would be the perfect treat for one of our street parties! Was thinking about getting neighbors together to build a mini veggie stand that we could share produce (And our eggs) at. Let the kids enjoy some gardening responsibility and share our “wealth”…. The cookies might motivate to help build stand!

Stacey says
I love them all, but Thin Mints are my absolute favorite, and I would love to share the greatness of this little cookie. The year before last year I was called a “freakin’ saint” because I gave my daughter’s friend my last box. Her last thin mint had been on its way to her mouth when her husband snatched it, barely chewed, and swallowed it! Can you imagine that? Yes, this is a true story.
Nicole says
Back in the day, Thin Mints were my favorite. Mavis, remember when you could scrape off the chocolate layer with your teeth and carefully lick off the white mint layer and find the G insignia imprinted on the cookie portion. Over the years, the recipe has changed and Samoas have now won out. We just bought a freezer. I’d love to fill it up with Girl Scout Cookies to share with the family.

april S says

Rita Kerr says
What wonderful memories of your time at Girl Scout Camp! I too was a Girl Scout, but my memories were not so great. Which was why I choose to be a Daisy Girl School, Brownie Girl Scout, Junior Girl School, Cadette Girl Scout and Senior Girl Scout Leader for our three daughters and their classmates. I hope they have good memories of our times camping in beautiful southern Indiana – in cabins, tree houses, tee-pees, tents and even in the cold open air (long story shortened = someone forgot the tent) . My commitment and the commitment of our daughters’ dad as a troop dad for almost 20 years was more than worth it. I will have to choose Samoas, because Operation Gratitude says Thin Mints and Tagalogs with their chocolate don’t do well in the desert summers. Nice idea to share, Mavis!

I LOVE Thin Mints. They are great with hot chocolate. You just bite a little bit out of opposite sides and you can suck the hot chocolate right through the cookie!!!!!!! It gets all gooey and you just pop the rest in your mouth when you feel it starting to lose structural integrity.
Amy R says
I would enjoy the Samoas. I do believe I would have you ship to the troops.
Rachael says
Love your blog, though I don’t get to read it as often as I would like! As for cookies, that’s a tough one between Thin Mints and Samoas. Anything with both chocolate and mint is simply sublime. Caramel and chocolate is almost as equally sublime. However, when considering the possibility of 12 boxes, and the fact that my husband won’t touch mint with a 10-foot pole, I think I’d have to go with Samoas just to guarantee I didn’t each the whole dang case myself–lol! If I won? Well, we’re a 6-person family, so I’d probably give everyone a very, very rare treat of their own personal box that they didn’t have to share, and would give the other four to our parents. 🙂 Neat giveaway idea! 🙂
Erin R. says
Thin Mints are the classic Girl Scout cookie and my favorites!! I’m a former GS leader and mom of two former Girl Scouts, so you’d think I’d be more generous, but ummm, realistically, I will likely hoard those babies!

Pam Little says
Thin Mints were introduced to my life by my precious Momma. She loved Thin Mints all of her life. Only affording a box or two, she could make those cookies last forever. If she ever had had a case of Thin Mints, my mind imagines that she would have been “paying it forward” by giving cookies to all the all of her church friends and neighbors. I, probably, would have found a box or two stashed away in her freezer along with all of her pecans for Christmas baking. If a case arrived at my front door, I would think of Momma and begin to “pay it forward”.

I would freeze 1/3, keep 1/3 out to eat (yum!!!), and give 1/3 to my cookie-loving dad! Thin Mints, baby, Thin Mints!
Donna Smith says
Samoas- freeze some and eat the rest
Kate says
Have to say it’s a toss up between thin mints & samoas. 😉 thin mints are my brother’s faves & he’s active military overseas so I’d send him the case to share with his work mates & friends stationed there. Thanks for this fun & generous giveaway opportunity!!! Love your blog & have sent your links to many a friend along the way 😉 cheers!

Samoas are my favorite. I will eat some and then share with friends and co-helpers at my kids school. Teachers and helpers need treats too.

Oooh thin mints it is because they are awesome and my frugal side says you get more that way. Here’s to sharing and stuffing my face.

Thin mints! I’d share with hubby, bring to work, and give rest away!

Samoas are like coconut covered crack rounds!
I would share them but alas I am the only one in the house that eats them…. So I would probably just OD on them feel guilty then got to the gym for three hours.
Kelly says
Samoas are so yummy!! I would give some away, eat a few and definitely freeze some!

Thin Mints are my favorite, and the favorite of pretty much everyone I know! If I won, I would definitely give boxes to my family members and to some of the secretaries at my school (I’m a teacher). I’d like to brighten the day for some people!
Sarah S. says
Oh we are in love with the samoas – though I have to admit we love just about all the girl scout cookies. I even got caught at the fabric store this morning having to buy cookies! They are expanding past the groceries stores!

Tags! I have 4 kids that love them!
Sarah T says
Tagalongs. Hide them & eat them with my hunny when the kids aren’t looking – probably will have to be in bed w/a movie on 🙂
Laura says
Tagalongs. I need them! We ran out of the ones we bought already!! Lol
Brian says
Samoas for sure. They are the bomb-dot-com. I’d eat a few boxes and stash some away.
LeAnn Wooten says
Thin mints. The best way to eat them is right out of the freezer. I would share with the family, stash a couple boxes in the back of the freezer, and send the rest to the active duty military members we know.
Anne says
Thin mints! I would eat a few boxes, and share the rest with friends.
Sarah Ann Wong says
Thanks for hosting this giveaway. While I love all three of these varieties of Girl Scout cookies, my absolute favorites are the Tagalongs. If I won a whole case of cookies, I’d eat some, share some and stock the freezer for months (or maybe even a whole year) of pure decadence!
Jodi says
SAMOAS!!! 🙂 I would definately be sharing most of them.
Janice says
Samoas always samoas
Ashley L. says
I love Tagalongs, although it is rare for me to find a Girl Scout cookie that I don’t like, with the exception of the new cranberry cookie. I don’t know what I would do with 12 boxes, I would have to take a few to work or send some with the kids to daycare. I would also eat a ridiculous amount of them, but hey, it’s once a year!
Steph says
My husband loves Thin Mints!
Michelle Wood says
Thin Mints are my favorite, and I’ll share one box with the fam, the rest goes in a secret hiding place yet to be determined.
Andy says
My wife loves samoas so I would pick those. I don’t think eating that many cookies would be a good idea so we’d share them with friends…maybe…
Ellie says
I would pick Tagalongs and I would share them with everyone at work when we take break!
Dottie says
Thin mints!!! I would share some with my husband, friends, and coworkers. I would also hide some in the house, because every woman needs a secret chocolate stash!
Geo says
Samoas all the way!!
