UPDATE: This Giveaway is now closed.
Top of the morning to you. Are you feeling lucky? 🙂
With St. Patrick’s Day right around the corner I thought it would be fun to do an Irish themed giveaway for March that includes a few of my favorite things.
Irish steel cut oats, Irish tea, a handmade bowl and mug set and of course a little Irish music to play in the background as you go about your day.
A few weeks ago I spotted these adorable bird bowls on Etsy and asked Katerina {of CocoonHMS on Etsy} if she would personalize a few sets for me by adding a lucky four leaf clover to the bowls and the word “lucky” stamped on both the bowls and mugs.
Katerina hand built both the mugs and bowls {she didn’t use potter’s wheel} and her attention to detail is just amazing. I love how each piece is a little different and unqiue.
And now it’s time for a giveaway!
Two lucky people will each win:
- 1 lucky porridge bowl by CocoonHMS
- 1 lucky mug by CocoonHMS
- 1 tin of McCanns steel cut Irish oats
- 1 tin of lucky Irish breakfast tea by Republic of Tea
- 1 Chronicals: 60 years of the Chieftains CD
Because seriously, who wouldn’t want to start their day off with a bit of luck on their side?
All you have to do to enter this giveaway is leave some sort of comment below with the word “lucky” in it. 🙂 That’s it. That’s all you’ve got to do.
Life, it’s pretty complicated sometimes, so I like to keep things simple around here.
1 entry per person/ip address. If you cheat, you will totally be disqualified. {Comments may take an hour or two to be cleared, so please be patient}.
This giveaway ends Friday, March 11th @8 pm EST and the winner will be announced on Saturday, March 12th. You will be notified via email and have 48 hours to claim your prize. If you do not claim your prize within 48 hours, the prize will be forfeited and given to a random person in town.
I will ship this prize anywhere. 🙂
Good Luck! I hope you win!
~Mavis

“Luck is the phenomenon and belief that defines the experience of notably positive, negative, or improbable events. The naturalistic interpretation is that positive and negative events may happen at any time, both due to random and non-random natural and artificial processes, and that even improbable events can happen by random chance. In this view, the epithet “lucky” or “unlucky” is a descriptive label that refers to an event’s positivity, negativity, or improbability.”

I feel LUCKY and blessed that my 14 year old autistic son with learning difficulties is now in a school that can meet his needs.
I feel LUCKY that after years of thinking he was not smart he now realizes that he just needed work to be modified and to be taught in another way with lots of hands on activities.
I feel LUCKY that he has a place that accepts his challenges and embraces his strengths.
I feel UNLUCKY that unfortunately his new school is 67 miles each way from our house.
I feel LUCKY that he has things to keep him occupied and time to sleep on his extended commute time.
I feel LUCKY that his first day of his new school was 2-22-22. It felt like a perfect start to what hopefully will continue to be an excellent fit for his complex learning and sensory needs.

Is it weird that I am finding this your most difficult giveaway to enter? Finding a way to use lucky in a sentence is harder than I thought- I think it’s because I’ve been taught to see things as blessings (gifts) instead of luck (by chance). But no matter which word is used the same feelings abound, my heart is full knowing how ‘lucky’ I am to have all that I need and so many things I desire- family, friends, home, food, etc.
