Told my husband about your brother and I described it as, “My friend lost her brother.” I had to correct because, although I feel like you are my friend, I haven’t actually met you! He is a cancer survivor and he lost his mother at 54 to brain cancer, so we really feel for your pain.
Know that you don’t walk alone. I am sure I am one of thousands of “friends” via the internet who have been praying for your family and sending you healing thoughts. Take your time processing all of this. Know that we will be here all along the way to help you and listen to you.

My heart goes out to you and your family with your loss. I know how painful and aching it is…I have lost all but my 2 sons and myself.
I was once told that it doesn’t get easier…BUT, the pain does ease by remembering those that have left the empty house that was their body. And every time you remember the funny times, goofs, silliness, kindness, wisdom, etc., they shared,then they continue to live on in our hearts and they are never really nor completely gone. We carry them in our hearts, always…they live on. (My darling Father told me that on the death of my Grandaddy, at age 6 and for every other funeral each year. I still hear his words even at the last one a few years ago of my husband.)
So, remember your brother with LOVE, LAUGHTER, and the JOY he brought and freely gave to everyone…and carry him in your heart!
You have been such a blessing to me for years, since I discovered you…Thank YOU, for being YOU!!!
