Hello and Happy Thanksgiving!
I hope your day is filled with good company, good food and lot’s of leftovers.
This year I am thankful for:
- My husband and his ability to put up with all my quirks and crazy ideas.
- Our two smart, funny, capable, kind, independent kids who are out there making a life for themselves.
- Family and friends.
- Good neighbors.
- You.
- My health.
- Lucy and her morning snuggles.
- Being able to work from home, doing something I love.
- The view out my window.
- A full pantry.
- Decaf Earl Grey tea.
- Knowing when it’s time to unplug and turn off the noise, and doing it.
- Darn Tough socks.
- Flannel Pajamas.
- That I live in Maine.
How about you? What are you thankful this year? Anyone want to share?
Happy Thanksgiving. 🙂
~Mavis

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone! I’m thankful that I get to enjoy a beautiful day with some family members, cook a great meal (the leftovers of which will feature in menus around here for a good while after) and for the world beyond my front door, that includes wonderful communities like the one you have created here, Mavis. Thanks.

Happy Thanksgiving to all here at Mavis’ place. I wish you a wonderful time with family, friends and of course the Fur/Feather/Fin babies.
I started out offering to cook/host a Thanksgiving dinner today. By the time all of the inviting was done, plans shifted. I’m not cooking a thing! I’ll be cooking my food over the weekend and making freezer meals out of it. Gobble, Gobble!

Happy Thanksgiving Mavis and to all the family here! We are so thankful to have both of our oldest son and his beautiful wife and our first granddaughter bringing the entire meal already prepared to our house to share with us all (and we didn’t even plan it that way!). Too many other blessings to count or list here. I sure am thankful for you Mavis and for sharing your life and adventures with all of us here and for bringing us together.

Very thankful for my friends & family, & our health. We are so blessed, but our health & family connections are what I value the most in life.
On the way smaller side:
-The sunshine in California today
-My husband, taking all of the seeds out of our (garden grown) pomegranates, for pomegranate martinis & kale/squash/pomegranate salad tonight
-My 15 y.o., for pushing me in our turkey trot this morning

Happy American Thanksgiving from Saskatchewan! If I may be allowed to add my thanks, it’s for the creator and the great commentators on this blog. You always keep it interesting and civil, and kind.
Have a wonderful day.

Thankful for my health and feeling like I got a life back at 66. Had 2 knees.replaced this year ( should have had surgery done 25 years ago, but life…..) Lost > 200 pounds past 3 years and retired. Moving, walking, Zumba, line dancing classes…….all without pain. Never thought life could be this good again. Hope you had a nice thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving! My daughter, her husband and five grandchildren were incredibly thankful today for your carrot cake! Everyone had multiple pieces and the kids even ate the cake! Usually it’s just the frosting. It was fun for me to make something that actually and finally was a hit! I told them all though it wasn’t really me and told them all about you. It was fun hearing them ask if they could have another piece of Mavis’ cake. Wow, it was the best cake I’ve ever had! Thank you!!

I am blessed and thankful for so many things, most importantly: My husband of 58 years, who puts up with all my idiosyncrasies; my grown children; and my precious granddaughter who is just turning 20 and starting to find her way as a delightful friend and independent adult! I’m thankful too, for the daily treat of having Mavis and all you inspiring people who share your projects and progress – you are all amazing.

Happy thanksgiving to you all, hope your day has been filled with love, laughter, loved ones, friends, good food and as Mavis always says I hope there are lots of leftovers. Although we don’t celebrate thanksgiving here, I think it’s a good holiday to have to be thankful, each and every one of us that is still waking up, smiling, spending good times with each other has so much to be thankful for. I am thankful for that, every day and a myriad of other things in my life. I’m ashamed to say I am not always aware of just how lucky I am but you guys have reminded me thank you.

I am so very thankful for my 5 grown children, their spouses, and my 10 grandchildren. I wouldn’t have been able to get through the last 2-1/2 months without them since the sudden loss of my sweet husband of 35 years. We shed many a tear yesterday but I know that I am blessed with such a caring and loving family.
