Hypothetical Question: You are putting something away in your daughter’s closet {who is away at school} and you find a box of Hershey’s Kisses that have been sitting there since winter break. Do you eat them? I mean they can’t possibly last until summer vacation. You’d be doing her a favor, right?

Eat it, but then replace it when she comes back home. Because chocolate totally goes bad very quickly, and you don’t want your daughter, whom you love very much, to have spoiled chocolate, right?

I might be wrong, but I’d swear Lucy is licking her lips in a few of your recent chicken photos…..are you sure she’s asleep under that comforter??

Would your family eat what you had for lunch? Any tips for feeding men/boys with big appetites? Enjoy your goal of getting rid of things in your house. We’re empty nesters and have been taking baby steps in that direction.

Once I was moving, as the movers were picking up my box spring, a crazy amount of candy started dropping out from a small tear in the fabric on the underside of the box spring. It was like a pinata ! Apparently my son’s ferrets had been collecting candy and hiding it inside my bed…”ferreting it away”. I was aghast for two reasons… It seemed creepy to me that my bed was where they had been hiding their stash …and even worse… I realized that my son must have thought I ate all the candy in his Christmas stocking and even his big Easter Bunny (which was fully intact inside my bed) ! I had been buying Ande’s mints for months and refilling the candy dish thinking others were plowing thru them when it was the ferrets all along. I’m not sure what the movers thought when all that candy started spilling out at their feet… lol.

Sure. That’s a good excuse, and another one would be to stop a pest infestation. Or a power failure, cause if it gets too hot they might melt, and make a big mess. You’re saving her from gaining weight, is also a good one.
