Costco Shopping Trip $28.85
I went into Costco to pick up some photos and walked out with a few things I just had to have. It’s a good thing I didn’t bring a cart in with me {yes, I’ll admit walking around Costco with a 20 pound bag of potatoes is weird} or I would have tossed a few more items in the cart.
It’s all about self control people… self control. If you can’t carry it, don’t buy it. 😉
Zaycon Steak Event – Free
Last week I also picked up 10 pounds of frozen Zaycon Steaks {I had some Zaycon credit so it was free}. We cooked some on the grill this past weekend and man oh man was it good!
Albertsons $7.96
How could I resist Haggen Dazs Ice Cream when it was only $1.99 a pint? Everybody has their favorites:
HH: Butter Pecan
Mavis: Orchard Peach
Monkey Boy and The Girl: Coffee
What’s your favorite flavor?
Smith Brother’s Milk Delivery – Sponsored
It’s so nice to wake up and be able to grab fresh milk off the porch in your pj’s. 😉 The HH is currently in love with Smith Brother’s cottage cheese and since The Girl still had some of her whole milk to drink from last week we swapped out her whole milk for some sour cream this time around.
How’d you do this week? Did you buy anything exciting?
~Mavis

I have those cucumbers in my fridge as well have gone twice and our Costco is an hour away but we had other things to do so of course we stopped. Cucumber lime dip is what I have been using them for and cucumber water, good stuff.

I live in a very small town (Rigby Idaho) in the middle of not much bigger towns… getting sponsored for our milk will NEVER happen here and my teenaged son can go through a gallon a day if I would let him… any other suggestions to help cut that cost without sending him in to a dairy in hopes he could glean his own milk?
My husband and son can eat an unusually large amount of food daily and I would LOVE some help getting our food budget down to $100 a month, including our toiletries, critter care and household items… I currently have a budget of $500 a month for all household, toiletries, dog food, cat food and litter and food… we eat a lot of beans and rice and I am really getting tired of that… we planted a garden this year but not much is in it as I have health issues, my husband works a TON of hours and my son is .. a teenager
Any and all suggestions that are relative to my area and circumstances would be GREATLY appreciated!!
Thanks!
