The teenagers were here again this weekend. This time they decided to bake up a bunch of goodies for their teachers.
Little Miss Smarty Pants announced, “We better get extra credit for this.” Then it changed to, “Well, I HOPE we get extra credit for this.” Then I pointed out that baking cookies for her teacher was a nice way of saying, “Thank You for putting up with me and all my teenage weirdness,” and she agreed.
But I’m thinking once Senorita Espanol tries one of these yummy gingerbread cupcakes, an extra credit point or two might just be entered into the grade book.
Guess what did they made for the Forensic Science teacher? Thumbprint cookies.
The girls thought that was hilarious.
After it was all said and done, they baked up 20 plates of cookies.
And wrapped them.
And then they decided to make dinner because baking is a hard work.
If you’re thinking that something like this costs a small fortune, you’re wrong.
I supplied all the cookie dough and I asked each one of the girls to bring their choice of frosting, sprinkles and small candies to decorate the cookies with. I picked up the paper plates and wrapping supplies at the dollar store for a grand total of $4.00. Pretty cheap fun for a Saturday night if you ask me.
And now the best part: The leftovers. It’s all about the leftovers!
