Oroweat Bakery Outlet $5.00
I was near the Oroweat Bakery Outlet on Saturday so I stopped in and picked up 10 loaves of bread for only 5 bucks! There were two full rolling cards of bread marked buy 1 get 1 free so I loaded up. $0.50 each? Heck ya I’ll buy some.
Panera Bakery Free
On Tuesday I was near Panera so I stopped in and picked up a baker’s dozen of bagels for $6.99. I used my Christmas gift card my parents gave me so I didn’t have to pay anything. Yee-Haw! Have you tried their French Toast bagels? I think they might be my favorite.
Fred Meyer $15.12
You can’t have bagels with without cream cheese now can you? Ha! So after Panera I popped into Fred Meyer and picked up some cream cheese and other vegetables for side dishes this week. I noticed the HH’s Greek Gods Greek yogurt was on sale for $2.50 so I picked up two containers. Personally I think Greek yogurt tastes like barf, but he likes it.
Local Produce Market $6.77
I found turkey lunch meat for $3.99 a pound, Fuji Apples $0.50 a pound, pears $.79 a pound and broccoli for $0.99 at my local produce stand.
Smith Brothers Milk Delivery $11. 16
I love being able to open my front door and find milk on my front porch. Pretty rad if you ask me so for now I’ll continue to pay a little more for milk to have it delivered.
How did YOU do this week? Did you buy anything delicious? And what is your take on Green yogurt? Love it? Hate it?

Got to agree with your HH. Greek Gods yogurt is the best, especially the vanilla honey flavor with home canned cherries mixed in.
Rebecca says
Greek yogurt depends on brand for me. They each have different flavors and consistencies. Fage is my favorite, it’s my yogurt crack. Dannon, Yo-plait, and the other major regular yogurt brands just don’t have the taste I’m looking for.

I do like Tillamook yogurt. Blackberry is my favorite.
Robin in SoCal says
Panera Tuesday bagel special is the bomb. Yes french toast variety is a hit here as well and the chocolate chip (yuck).
Kayla says
I agree with Mavis. Greek yogurt tastes like barf. My husband likes it too. Maybe it is a guy’s thing.
Cecily says
Love homemade Greek yogurt made with local milk. The store bought stuff, not so much.

I am interested in Zaycon, but can’t find anywhere that it says the beef is organic or hormone free. They do say that there are no additives during processing, but don’t say explicitly that it is hormone free. Do you know the answer? I can’t determine whether it’s a good price for my area without knowing that! Thanks!

You’re doing awesome on your yearly food budget!
Mavis Butterfield says
Thanks Lisa, I’m hanging in there.

I have never liked yogurt. Greek or otherwise. It all tastes like barf to me. DH and all the children/grandchildren love any.
Heather says
I LOVE that you don’t lake Greek yogurt!!!! I hate it. Everyone I know, family and friends, loves it and acts like I am crazy. Thank you. I think it is the new kale.
Tina B says
Heather, I like Yoplait’s Greek yogurt and LOVE kale. I guess everyone has their own food preferences. We are lucky to live in a country and time of life when there are plenty of choices for food for us.
Mavis Butterfield says
Ha! I think you might be right. 🙂
