Someday, when I am old and gray and have no teeth…
I will open a pie & cupcake shop.
It will make me very happy.
Especially if I have no teeth.
Because everyone knows you don’t need teeth to eat a cupcake or a bite of pie.

How to make individual pumpkin pies:
#1 Roll out pie dough to 1/4″ thickness.
#2 Using a giant daisy flower cookie cutter cut out dough.
#3 Gently press dough cut-outs into mini-cupcake liners and place in a mini cupcake pan.
#4 Brush dough cut-outs with egg-wash (1 egg & 1 tablespoon of water).
#5 Using a 1 Tablespoon cookie scoop, scoop pumpkin pie filling into center of the dough.
#6 Bake @ 350 degrees for approximately 14-17 minutes until golden brown.
#7 Let cool… and serve.
* The HH suggests serving the mini pies with a dollop of whip cream on top.

Pumpkin flowers- beautiful. Oh, and can I work for you at your pie and cupcake shop? I promise I won’t eat too many of the baked goods.
Mavis says
You may work at my pie and cupcake shop. As long as you are plump. All old ladies should be plump and have rosy cheeks… and if you could please smell like vanilla… that would be a plus.

You flowers are adorable! Now I know what to do with the giant cookie cutters we just found tucked away in a box the other day! Thank you!!
OH what a splendid idea! (the cookie/pie shop!) I’ll be willing to serve coffee and tea for your shop. And keep you stocked in delicious jams and jellies! (we have seriously talked about doing this one of the years down the line… walls lined with cases of old books, soft jazz/classical music playing in the background, sandwiches made of hearty breads… for us more of a cafe/bakery/coffee/tea shop..) Ah I can smell your shop now!
Mavis says
Peggy, you can be in charge of serving tea and coffee… and I will let you have complete control of the music selection. How about some Michael Buble…and maybe you could mix in a little Ray Charles here and there for a little attitude.

Oh and don’t forget the mismatched floral china tea cups and dessert plates! I used to know a little pie/sandwich shop that was the front rooms of a very old couples house, and they baked all thei
r pies that they sold slices of in a wood cook stove in the back. They had the most delicious pies, and they served tea on those mismatched china cups and plates, and there were more china plates on the walls…it was an experience!

Those are so stinkin’ cute! I might let my girls try this this week.
Since I would make a wreck of the kitchen and scare all your customers away, I will instead, be one of your most loyal customers and spend all my money on your baking. Someone has to eat all those cupcakes and pies!
Mavis says
Okay Jules…We will give you lot’s of free samples. 🙂
