Quote of the Day “Sometimes you will never know the value of a moment until it becomes a memory.”
Hello Tuesday.
Are there any bird experts out there? I need your help. I wrote about Robin this morning over on Dig for Your Dinner and I could use some advice. Also, have you ever been to Coeur D’alene, Idaho? The HH and I are planning a trip there and I could sure use your suggestions. I’ve been there once, but it was about 18 years ago and we brought the babies along and didn’t get to do much sight seeing. Any ideas would be AWESOME.
Have a great day everyone,
♥ Mavis

Hey Mavis,
I happen to live in the CDA area, and there is LOTS to do, depending on the time of year and what your interests are.
We have boat tours, sometimes out to see the bald eagle nests.
You can visit any of a number of regional ski resorts
You can hike Tubbs Hill in downtown CDA next to the REDONK resort.
We have a really neat antique market in an old Bijou Theatre
We have twice weekly farmers markets from like… May to Oct.
We have some pretty sweet biking trails –> http://friendsofcdatrails.org/
You can also visit all the dang lakes in the area, Lake Couer d’Alene is just one of many..
Hayden Lake, Hauser Lake, Twin Lakes, and the amazingly deep Lake Pend Orielle (said ponderay)
In the summer, you can float some of our rivers and just mellow in the hot sun while being dragged along by ice cold water. Its a nice feeling.
Along I-90 from the Seattle Metro Area to here there are also amazing farmsteads, and a WHOLE LOT of wineries.
As I said, LOTS of options. Hope you like the visit, its changed so much in the 12 yrs I have lived here, I cannot imagine just how different it will be for you after almost 2 decades!

I live in Post falls, 10 minutes from Coeur d’ Alene . I have been here all my life, which is 60 years. What can I help you with?
Sandra says
The bird is seeing its reflection in your window and he (probably male) thinks it is another bird. He is attacking what he sees as a rival. Try hanging bird tape in front of the windows to scare it away. Bird tape is a Mylar type streamer. Amazon has it, but Winco may also have it. Or ask the guy at Wild Birds in downtown Gig Harbor what to do.

You and the HH could take a nice troll along the boardwalk at the Coeur d’ Alene Hotel. It is kinda romantic at sunset.

Take a look at Sandpoint/Hope, Idaho. If you need a place to stay, now or in the future, look at VRBO #388214, Lover’s Getaway, Spiritual retreat. Home overlooks Lake Pondereille. We have stayed there with our dog. It is gorgeous!
