Even though I tagged along on the HH’s business trip last week and was fed for nearly 5 days straight, I still managed to buy a few groceries. The Girl and I ran errands on Saturday and picked up all her favorite goodies at the local stores.
We did stop at the farmer’s market in hopes of buying fresh local produce {local as in grown in our town} but all we could find other than some strawberries and salmonberries were fruits and vegetables that were trucked in from eastern washington so we passed. Mrs. HB said she thought there was more locally grown produce at the thursday market so we’ll have to stop by and take a look this week.
Main and Vine $4.98
Apples 4 for $1 and avocados $1.50 each.
Fred Meyer $15.09
The Girl wanted to stock up on fruit so we popped by Fred Meyer and picked up nectarines and peaches @ $0.99 a pound, salad mix for $3.99 and bananas @ $0.59 a pound. Butter was on sale last week for $2. We also scored a free sample of tide. Wahooo!
Harbor Greens $8.98
The Girl spotted a box of 22 mangos on sale for $7.99 so we snactched it right up. Monkey Boy and I don’t like mangos but I’m pretty confident the HH and The Girl will gobble them up within a few days. 😉

How did you like the confit of duck on wednesday? We duck hunt and I just came across a recipe for confit. I guess once you make it it will keep for a while. And there are many things you can do with it. This recipe was to make tacos with it. I’m considering giving it a whirl. I’d love to hear how you liked it.
Sounds like you had a wonderful time. Happy you got to go have some fun 🙂

Honestly, it was just okay. I would not order it again. 🙁

Thank you for letting me know Mavis. That helps a bit, I think I’ll put that one off then. Our neighbor made pate with ducks my brother gave her,and he thinks it’s amazing. So, maybe I’ll look into that.
