We recently met up with The Kiln Guy and the Chef at the Jefferson Market and General Store in Jefferson, Maine for lunch and we all liked the place so much, I just had to share.
Since moving to Maine a few years ago, we’ve found oodles of general stores dotted across the landscape and each and everyone of them is a little bit unique.
This was our first time there and we were all excited that not only did they have a nice sandwich menu, but a hot breakfast menu as well.
I even mentioned to the Kiln Guy that the Jefferson Market and General Store would be a great place to meet up this winter for breakfast and he agreed.
The place has plenty of seating room.
And even some local art on the walls.
All the staples you could possibly need.
As well as plenty of “made in Maine” products as well.
I also loved the fact that there were price stickers on everything. 🙂 Remember those?
I loved the old wood stove too!
And the sandwiches? They were fantastic! Kiln Guy had a Reuben. {He ALWAYS gets a Reuben.}
The HH and I split a steak sandwich.
And The Chef had a chicken and black bean quesadilla.
Everything was wonderful and we’re all looking forward to going back this winter for breakfast.
Jefferson Market & General Store in Jefferson, Maine. It’s another great place to stop in for a bite to eat or to pick up a jar of Fluff on the way home. 😉
Maine. The way life should be.

Just a thought. Stickers would allow the store to stay operational even if the power went out.

The old cook stove with the Roomba underneath is quite a picture of old and new. I enjoyed it.
