Floating Dock in Water in Just Under An Hour.
The dock is in!
The dinghy is in!
It’s hard to believe that what took us nearly 3 hours last year {and a lot of freaking out on my husband’s part} we were able to get done in just under an hour this year {with absolutely no freaking out on the HH’s part.}
And it felt good.
We were able to maneuver the floating dock from the side of the rocky shore to the dock {with ropes} and get the ramp down and in place and the chains crisscrossed underneath and yada yada yada in record time. And we weren’t even trying. Just Under An Hour we did it!.
The winch my husband bought 2 years ago has officially paid for itself and then some.
We were even able to get the dinghy in the water at the public landing {and to our place} without any problems.
Let’s just say Miss Lucy is one happy pup. She LOVES going out in the dinghy {and dive bombing the lobster buoys}.
Floating Dock in Water in Just Under An Hour!
It finally feels like summer is here. And I couldn’t be more excited about that!
Here’s to another beautiful day in Mid-Coast Maine. I hope you have warm and sunny skies wherever you are.
Peace Out,
Mavis

Is there a story of the washed up looking house in the 6th picture? It has me thinking how long it has been there, how it got in disrepair, why is it left there in that state, what happened to the owner/family, do the townsfolk have a tale or story about it, etc? It is intriguing and mysterious and has me curious.

It has a lot of character. It looks like a boat house of some sort!!

There are so {SO!} many places {mainly old boathouses} that look like the one I snapped a picture of. I love them.

Are you rocking Xtratufs or are those booties grundens? I own no less than 8 pairs of Xtratufs in various styles — they are perfect for southeast alaska weather and great for boating!
Mavis Butterfield says
Grundens. I’m waiting for the octopus boots to go on sale though so I can get a pair of Xtratufs. 🙂

Haha you crack me up.! Why is it the husbands freak out on projects like this.? Glad the HH has figured out that it only makes things worse. Beautiful pictures BTW.

Well done, Mavis!! This post was super relaxing to me — of course, I didn’t have to do the work, did I? LOL But I love the pictures near the water. So soothing.
