When The Girl & I went to the Sequim Lavender Festival last summer, they were selling lavender lemonade. We didn’t buy any there but I knew I wanted to try & make some when we got back. I thought this recipe would be perfect for a Labor Day BBQ because it’s so simple but so refreshing. I can’t stop drinking it!! And as a bonus, your lemonade will be a pretty color & your house will smell delicious!
Ingredients
6 1/2 cups water
1 1/2 cups sugar
1 cup fresh lemon juice
1/3 cup dried lavender, crushed in a food processor
mint for a garnish {optional}
Directions
Bring sugar and 1 1/2 cups of the water to a rolling boil. Stir in the crushed lavender and remove from heat {do not let lavender boil}. Cool mixture completely and refrigerate for an hour. Strain and pour into a pitcher. Add the remaining water and lemon juice, and stir until combined.
