Quote of the Day “Somewhere, something incredible is waiting to be known.”
The Girl made it home last night after 3 crazy long days of driving. 🙂 The garden is still alive, there is a ton of mail stacked up on my desk to go through and there is a strange smell coming from the empty fridge. Good times!!!
On the agenda for today: Buy food, get caught up on emails, take a good look at the backyard and see what needs to be done… and maybe a nap. 😉
Have a great day everyone!!
♥ Mavis

Thank you for posting about pallet gardening. We did our strawberries that way last year. It was so simple & easy I don’t know why we didn’t do it sooner.

I got 3 pallets last year and planted peppers and tomatillos in one of them —didn’t work well as they get dry too fast but I did plant herbs in my second one (sage, lemon tyme and greek basil). this year I re-planted the one with more herbs….parsley, more basal and some chives. Then I dragged the third one into the yard , filled it with potting soil and then planted seeds tapes I had made myself for carrots, lettuce and radishes. Then the naughty cat went out and dug up 3 sides of the bed –two for his bathroom and one to lay in. So glad I could fix a place for him!!! I do see a few carrots trying to struggle up and maybe a few lettuce leaves–although they may be weeds! But alas…no radishes.
