Yesterday Lucy the puggle princess woke up to a street full of snow and pretty much barked her little mouth off until we took her outside.
A real snowfall. Here, in western washington. Can you believe it? I think it’s been about 5 years since we’ve have more than a dusting. It.Was.Amazing.
Lucy got to walk up and down the slushy street and she loved every minute of it.
She sampled snow off the leaves, off garden boxes, off the patio furniture. We pretty much had to stop every five feet until she got her fill.
The woods were a true winter wonderland.
Ahhhhh snow. I LOVE YOU. And so does Lucy puggle.
Someday the three of us {Mavis + Snow + Lucy} are going to be best friends. Someday you’ll stick around for more than a day or two. But for now, we’ll take what we can get.

Mavis! Up here in Saskatchewan, it just finished snowing after two full days! Most of us are sick of it ( my dogs are not, they LOVE snow), I notice people tend to always dislike the winter weather no matter area they’re in. I just think it’s funny you actually want the snow!

I LOVE it. I think it’s dreamy and I wish it snowed here all winter.

Right there with you Mavis, except from Bellingham ;0)
We (me & Bella, 1/2 Dachshund, 1/2 Pomeranian cutie pie) love love love the snow! It’s so magical! We are blessed with a trail system at the end of our street and have walked in the woods everyday since the snow started… funny, I never do that in Summer – ha! Enjoy!

It never snows here (So Cal), I think maybe it snowed once in 1965. So people here make “trips” to the snow to ski or to play.
The mountains behind our city cap out at 4000 ft elevation, and every couple of years it will rain and be cold enough to get a dusting down to about 3000 ft. People get really excited.
I grew up in the northeast. I moved away from it!

We moved from Michigan to South Carolina. It has been so loooooovely to not have snow! Well, we got about 4″ once, that shut the state down for 5 days, which we were much amused by. Otherwise, it has been a mild winter.
BUT I’m glad you are enjoying the snow! 😀

Yesterday we had rain and even saw a bit of that green stuff under the snow in our yards. We have had snow on the ground since Dec. 6 if not before.
This morning we got 2 more inches of snow in less than 2 hours but are now warm and will get some rain tonight.

I love the snow like you do Mavis. I am in Illinois right now but am moving to the mountains of Colorado. I can;t get enough of the white stuff!

Love the photos! Everything looks pretty magical!
We don’t get snow in our area – we have to travel to it.
Beautiful area with those huge gorgeous trees!
Enjoy!

70′ here today and only a dusting this year so far. Normally we get at least one or two storms in the D.C. Area but this year we’ve barely even gotten cold. But in true psychotic weather we’ll be 70′ again tomorrow with snow, maybe an inch, and a high of 37′ Thursday. Love snow. Miss it!

We got 8 inches and the whole household was thrilled! Except for the cats. Who blame me, apparently. Oh well!!

Lucy looks like she is in snow heaven! I see that look of determination on her sweet face. I love her coat, too! I love her photos!

I was just up in Seattle last week and got to see the snow. Then got to leave while it was snowing and to experience de-icing. It was fabulous but I’m happy only to visit and not live in it.

In Harrisburg Pa the kids and dogs are sad as we have had no snow to speak of:(. But today it will 50 degrees during the day and then a snow storm tonight with maybe 5 inches. Go figure…

We’ve had a freakishly light winter here in Maryland, and I am bracing myself for a very bug-filled summer because of it. I love snow, so I miss it, and I’m also a little alarmed that our daffodils are in bloom–a month and a half early. We had a long, cold, wet spring last year that made for quite the mediocre garden, so I’m hoping that if we don’t get a real winter this year we’ll at least get a real spring.

Not to poo on your snow parade, but I despise snow. But you two look like you are having fun, so I am happy that it is there and not here! 🙂 I grew up in Columbus, Ohio and got enough snow then to last me a lifetime.
Love your pictures.

Well, you’ll have plenty of snow when you eventually move East!
It is fun to have snow in WA because it’s gone so fast, lol. It sure is pretty, but so is all the green with which we are surrounded. I missed that when I was back East in MA and MD.
