We’re making progress, that’s what I told the HH last night. I know we haven’t been in the new place long, but we are totally unpacked and we’re moving right along on our to-do list.
Which is a good thing, because fall and cooler temps will be here before we know it and it will feel so good heading into winter with the “major” things checked off our list.
After working for a day and a half in the barn, the electricians finally finished up yesterday. And let me tell you Bob, there are outlets galore!!!
Outlets for seed starting, outlets for Christmas lights, outlets for party lights and shop lights and gooseneck lamps and ceiling fans and the kiln. So many outlets!!! It’s lovely!
The fence guy called and he’s planning on installing our {Lucy’s} new fence next week! HOORAY!
We picked out a lovely white picket with some pointy tops like the one above. We’ll have to stain it ourselves though as the fence guys don’t do that.
Once the fence is in, then I can head down to the nursery and load up on those lime burst hydrangeas I’ve had my eye on. I think I might plant a few hibiscus plants along the fence too. We’ll see.
I need to go back and check my bulb order to see what all I ordered to make sure I’ll have enough room. Busy busy. That’s what we’ll be right up until the first frost. By then the new couch should be here and we’ll be able to hunker down for winter.
And check out these screen doors. How cool are they? A company here in Maine makes them. I love the red lobster door!!! What do you think? Isn’t it fun?
They also have one that resembles the original 1901 Maine flag on it. I think it would add a sweet little touch of personality to our place, don’t you?
Progress. It really does feel like we are making progress on the new place. And at a pretty good clip if I do say so myself. Lucy, she just goes with the flow.
Hopefully this time next week though she’ll finally be able to run around her new backyard without a leash. And I’ll be able to show you around the new garden space.
Have a great weekend everyone, enjoy the sunshine!

Dearest Mavis,
I have been following you for years. If there is one thing I know about you, it’s that you are a worker and crafter. Sitting still is not for you, unless it is winter. LOL. Have you ever considered opening a small boutique near/at your home, stocked with your own makings (in true main style of course)? That’s a lot of pressure to put on someone but if anyone could do it, it would be you. I realize you have an online shop, but hey maybe a real shop could be in your future? My whole point is, you are amazingly talented and you really have an eye for what looks good and functions well.
Dreaming through you,
Courtney

Is there a way to follow this move from the beginning? I think I’ve missed so much! Been away from social media for a while!
