As a way of giving back and thanking you for showing up here on this crazy little blog of mine, whether it’s everyday or every week or just when you need to pop by for a recipe, I thought it would be fun to giveaway 12 unique gifts this holiday season. Treasures that have brought me a bit of happiness over the past year. Thank you for being a part of this blog dear friends, and for keeping the conversation going. 🙂

Hello Wednesday!

It’s been snowing here for the past two days and so far, we have about 12 inches of snow, which is totally AWESOME if you ask me. 12 inches might sound like a lot of snow depending on where you live, but here in New England, it’s business as usual. Nobody even bats an eye, the only difference is the sound of snow plows going up and down the streets and into people’s driveways.

Having absolutely ZERO interest in helping the HH shovel snow, The Girl and I set out on foot to the bakery yesterday for our morning cuppa and a pastry. 🙂 🙂 🙂

When we got back home the HH had cleared the driveway with the snowblower and was working on clearing a path for Lucy’s winter rack track around the backyard. With a snow shovel.

Apparently we forgot to level the area where the garden gate is after we installed it, so now the gate won’t open all the way. And well, now that the ground is frozen the snowblower won’t fit through the opening. Oops.

All is well though. After a solid 30 minutes of shoveling, Lucy now has her race track. But enough about the snow… Let’s talk about today’s giveaway, shall we.

Earlier this spring while the HH and I were up in North Conway, New Hampshire on one of our date day adventures, we wandered into Zeb’s General Store. And well, I found this really cool knitted hat with the sweetest little tree and a giant brown poofy ball on top and just had to have it. So I bought one for myself. And then contacted Micaela of Plaid Pine Designs {a local mom who makes the hats and sells them in her Etsy shop to make me a few more for my 12 Days of Giveaways series.

Her hats are soft, warm, fun and everything a winter hat should be, and I am super excited to be able to feature another locally handmade product for a giveaway.

All you have to do to enter this giveaway is leave a comment below and let me know, what the temperature is in your neck of the woods today. I was 19 degrees outside when I woke up this morning! Yikes.

    It was 30 this morning here in Columbus, GA. That, my dear, is WAY too cold for me. Anything below 65, I’m frozen. Six years in Germany cured me of ever wanting to live where it snows every winter. So glad others enjoy it.

    It’s 29 degrees this morning. But next week it’s going to be really cold. MN weather, it’s crazy. Last Saturday we had rain, sleet, snow and thunder.

    It’s 6am and rather warm for this time of year, 27 degrees! Last week we had about 20-23 inches of snow, the streets are still icy and snow packed as well as sidewalks that homeowners refuse to take care of…ugh. Makes for difficult walking for this ‘older women.’ Love the hat!

    Good Morning from Northern MN, where we are still working on shoveling out after a 24″ dump of snow over the weekend. Good Times is right! Lucy looks absolutely gleeful on her run in the track! SWEET! It is currently about 24 degrees out there, with a high of 32 expected.

    Well it is 66 degrees right now at 8:20am and should get up to 75 degrees midday today in Key Largo, FL. I feel like an outcast announcing such beautiful winter weather when everyone else is in full blown winter. We just got back from the in-laws in Indiana where the weather was 30’s. Much too cold for this Florida acclimated girl!

    I am in central NC for now ( one day moving back to mountains) so it’s only 35F at the moment. Our cold will arrive in January and February when the fun of hauling water to the goats begins because everything is frozen. That cut little knitted cap would sure keep my head warm on those days.

    All that snow and you love it. Hubby and I packing the RV for our annual 4 months in warmer climes and planning our route south to avoid mountains etc where snow a likely to fall . Living Lucy’s race track and think of all the calories the HH burned I hope you brought him cake! That’s a great hat I love it.

    Here in central Wisconsin we just cleaned up from 2 big ice/snow storms. It hasn’t been above freezing for a while. Winter came early here. Hope spring comes early also! Love the hat.     I grew up in Florida, married a Texan and lived in warm Texas for many years. Last year I moved to Colorado. On Tuesday of last week there was a massive snow event with temperatures dropping to -1. WOW, that was cold. The snow and mountains are stunning – however, I am ill prepared in the warm clothes category. That looks like a really warm hat and that is beautiful craftsmanship from someone who knows warm. Whether I win or not, I’d like to thank you for an interesting blog that I read daily. You inspire us all to be our better selves!

    I live in central Arizona and we’ve had rain most of the night so a wet day ahead here at 47 degrees. Once the clouds lift, there should be more snow on the mountain. It had mostly melted out from a pure white Thanksgiving mountain. We have the best weather here — moderate for the state. We can drive 1 hour south to 10 degrees warmer weather, or north an hour for 10 or more degrees cooler weather to play in the snow this time of year at 7000 foot elevation.

    It’s 46(?!?!?) right now in eastern Washington! What a heat wave! We were in banff over the weekend though and it was hovering between 1-4 degrees with wind chills in the -2 to -8 range. That was cold.

    Here in the U.P. of Michigan, it is 34. Last week we had over a foot of heavy wet snow and lost power for 3 days. Then it snowed again Sat into Sun about another 17 inches. This time no power outages.

    Howdy! Its was 46 degrees in Richardson, Texas this morning. We had an early freeze the first week of November and my 14 Lemon Trees are snug and warm in the hothouse in the back yard until spring but they are loaded with Christmas Lemons!

    It was a balmy 15 degrees this morning in Vermont. We have had 2 days of snow and have gotten over 2 feet of snow. Seems like the snowblower has been running non stop. My husband also snow blows the back yard for our two dogs. Our Lab loves the snow but our little puddin jack does not. If we get more than 3 inches of snow it’s halfway up her body. A new winter hat would keep me nice and toasty when I’m out with my dogs or snowshoeing on the woods trail. Stay warm Mavis!!

    our race track, when the snow starts to get deeper , is made by us snowshoeing around our back yard- our Lab Gracie loves it! she also tries to help with the path making but…you know how that goes!

    So many comments…. It’s 32° F in the shores of Lake Michigan here in Mason Co., Michigan. We have a bit of a wind chill today. Leaves us at about 26° I think. But not bad for the beginning of December.

    I live in Northwest Indiana (close to Chicago) and our terrible winters aren’t here yet, so it was in the mid-40s today. I wore flip flops. But in January/February/March/sometimes April? I’ll need that hat to keep me warm! And it’s cute!

    Well I’m in southern california so we don’t get snow and it isn’t too cold yet. Today was 64, the morning was in the 50’s.. so winter isn’t upon us just yet but eventually it will be in the 30’s-40’s which it a little chilly for our area. 😉 how y’all can send snow here anytime, it’s been over 20 years since it snowed in our town, Ill gladly take snow! !

    Here in Australia it is 34 degrees celsius (93 Fahrenheit) today, tomorrow is going to be 38 degrees (100.4 Fahrenheit)…. but that hat is toooooooo cute! and would be lovely once our winter comes back / plus we have a first time trip planned to New Zealand next year…. yay!

    I’m a little jealous of all your snow! We had a small dusting last weekend (eastern PA), but I am really hoping for at least one good snow storm where the snow stays on the ground for longer than ‘until the sun comes out’. Today was a slightly chilly one – 22 on the way to church, but in the 40’s by the time we headed home.

    Just got back from Orlando where it was in the 70s…came back to Hawaii where it’s 72 right now (8:00 a.m.) with an expected high temp of 86…in December (too hot for this time of year in my opinion)!!!
