Today’s giveaway will make you choose between two of my favorite pastimes: cooking or relaxing in my bed watching movies with The Girl. Both are equally awesome, so I certainly can’t be the one to decide. But lucky you! You get to choose.

The 2 mystery prizes will help you cook up a delicious feast or relax in total comfort! What’s it gonna be? Food or relaxation?!

One lucky reader will win either Prize #1  or  Prize #2. Click on over and check them out and then come back here and enter.

To enter for your chance to win, simply leave a comment below and let me know if you’d choose Prize #1  or  Prize #2. Food or comfort? Such a tough choice!

Just answer that one question and you’re entered to win. Life’s pretty complicated sometimes, so I like to keep things simple around here.

Rules

1 entry per person/ip address. If you cheat, you will totally be disqualified.

This giveaway ends December 18th, 2013 @6 pm PST and the winner will be announced in the December 19th, 2013 edition of Mornings with Mavis. You will be notified via email and have 24 hours to claim your prize. If you do not claim your prize within 24 hours, the prize will be forfeited.

    We have cats who sleep on the bed with us, and I’m much to lazy to bother with a duvet cover, so the white comforter wouldn’t fly. Plus I imagine I could get a ton of mileage out of a dutch oven.

    Although I’d typically choose comfort over food almost every time, this time I’m going to have to choose FOOD.
    I’ve never had or used a Dutch oven, but I would love learning hoe to use one!!

    I don’t own anything cast iron yet and would love the Dutch oven, however, my current down comforter is over 15 years old. I think it is time for a new one! Prize #1 please!

    Sheesh! These are tough choices. I do have a Dutch oven,, but this one looks nicer and doesn’t have the legs to raise it above coals in a fire. I think I’d go with the comforter. The one I have is getting pretty worn.

    Well Mavis much as I like the looks of the comforter if I win I would choose #2 the Lodge Dutch Oven, it would fit on the stove top with my Lodge Griddle and my Lodge Skillet. I can just about smell the beef stew I could make in it, slow simmered most of the day then enjoyed for a leisurely dinner.

    OOH! What an awesome choice to make! Both are wonderful giveaways, Mavis! Either would be wonderful, but the comforter looks so snuggly, I think I would pick that one. It’s REALLY cold here as of late in VT. It was -9 this morning… and my chocolate lab only throws so much heat 🙂 Hard choice, though… good picks on your part!

    I use to have a down comforter and loved it. But now I have something else that works. However, I have never had a cast iron anything. I have heard they are wonderful! So I would have to go with #2! Thank you for hosting such great giveaways!

    Wow… such a hard choice! I think I would go with the down comforter! The nights get pretty cold around here (-12 when we woke up yesterday) and our woodstove always goes out by the morning so it would be wonderful to be snuggled up in goose down!

    I must say Prize #2. I have an antique Victor Junior cast iron stove, and have cooked many a meal using cast iron on that stove. It would be nice to have a new dutch oven. Thanks!!

    That’s such a tough one!!! I love food AND comfort, but the one I’m more likely to use would be food 🙂 As much as I love comfort, the chances of it happening are slim to none. Unless it has something to do with comfy socks, then I’m sold!

    Wow, this is a fabulous giveaway!
    As I am currently living in the Netherlands, I already use my Dutch oven quite often 😉 How else could I be Dutch?
    A nice warm bed, however, would be heaven. I absolutely love that comfy feeling that down gives, so I choose prize #1:

    #2–food. This could be used inside or outdoors over a campfire. You could make a tasty stew or roast in it. You could make campfire cinnamon rolls in it. The possibilities of use are endless.
