Well hello there. How has the weather been at your place this past week? It’s been unusually nice in my neck of the woods. So nice in fact I was actually able to get quite a bit done in the garden beds this past week.
For starters, I transplanted some a few carrots from one side of a garden bed {the one with the white hoops} to make room for some new carrots.
This past week I planted radish, beet and carrot seeds in my garden boxes as well as more lettuce seeds indoors {under grow lights} and in the greenhouse as well.
I also transplanted a few more lettuce starts to one of our pallet gardens. I think by the end of the week I’ll have all the wood pallet gardens planted with strawberries and lettuce. {Fingers Crossed}
Check out the garlic and leeks! That’s what I’m talking about. đ Now, if I could get all my garden beds to look that cool during the month of March I’d be one happy camper. 
The lasagna garden.  I still haven’t figured out what I’m going to do with it. 
Poppies and rhubarb. Still no sign of the artichokes. 
I can’t help but smile everytime I walk past the greenhouse because really, what’s not to love? We’ve got a gazillion lettuce leaves growing in there and by late afternoon it’s so nice and warm under those glass panels that I’m tempted to bring my new book out there and sit on the floor and get some reading done. 
The mini herb gardens alongside the greenhouse aren’t looking too shabby either. In fact, everything but the oregano has come back from it’s winter hibernation.
Ahh the raspberries. I wonder if this will be the year I pull up those ugly green metal stakes and give them the support they really need. đ
And last but not least, take a look at this bud on one of our pear trees. Last year we lucked out and had a bumper crop. With so many giant buds on the trees again this year I’m hoping we’ll have another big harvest.
Well enough about my garden, how is YOUR garden doing these days?
Please tell me it’s not covered in snow because that would totally stink!

Your garden is amazing! I just planted a pear tree last year that I may get a few pears on this year. How are you able to keep bugs out of yours? Our apple tree grew tons of apples last year but they were full of worms. Do you (or any of your other amazing readers) have any tips and tricks that might help me save my tree fruits? Thanks!!!

Wow your rhubarb plants are big already, I have one little leaf poking out of the dirt which is great since I do live in Florida and it is almost impossible to grow that here. I wish I had a HUGE plot of just Rhubarb. What do you grow where you have the hoops? Just getting started growing a garden, and was wondering what I am going to need to go up besides tomatoes, beans, and peas?

We had some nice days down here in central North Carolina so far – it’ll be cool again this week though. :/ I added a raised bed over the winter and planted some seeds a few weeks ago in it. Peas, radish, romaine, mesclun, kale, and spinach have all sprouted – just waiting on the carrots! I may have to cover them if it gets too cold! The boyfriend tilled our garden yesterday, somehow he “accidentally” makes it bigger each year. I am trying potatoes for the first time this year – here’s to hoping!

Here in So. California, we had some beautiful weather today. The Hubs and I spent the day outside working on the garden. We rototilled 1/4 of our city backyard for a garden this year.

We worked on finishing my new 10×20 greenhouse. My hubby and Son are building it for me. My Pencil pod yellow green beans are growing like crazy under the grow lights. I plan on cleaning my other greenhouse out tomorrow so I can get them moved out there. Do I need to harden them off too? I need to finish of my garden bed so I can get the radishes, carrots, snap peas, onions etc all planted out there.

Mine garden IS still under snow. It’s snowing right now! But, then again, I am in Alberta.

Snow here too:( Two feet of it on top of my garden; I’m in Minnesota. But, I have all kinds of vegetables started indoors, I can’t wait to get them in the ground!

Last week we had a base of 30″ of snow on the ground. The first day of Sring brought us 10″ of snow. This weekend it snowed to the tune of another 4 or 5 “. Hubby had to shovel the roof again. Gardening seems like a long lost dream or should I say mirage? Sigh! We go from 6 months of cold & snow to mud to bug season. I am in zone 3 and my last frost date is the middle of June. We have been lucky the last few years with a September frost but we need to be prepared for a mid August frost date. on the bright side, Hubby and I had our 1st garden conversation. He plans to extend the garden another row–yeah! Now I need to figure out What I am planting and where. Happy gardening adventures from northern Maine!
