Mavis’ Favorite Things Giveaway – Day 5 – 12 Bars of Soap from Casco Bay Soap Company
I first discovered Casco Bay Soaps a few years ago on Instagram and have since fallen in love with them.
Locally made here in Maine, these soaps are made in small batches {usually 6 – 9 batches at a time} using a special blend of good-for-your skin oils such as Olive Oil, Coconut Oil, Shea Butter and more blend together to produce a mild, moisturizing, creamy bar of soap. {You can ready more about how the soap is made HERE.}
These soaps are sold online and all over the state of Maine in gift shops and specialty stores. I’ve even seen them at the LL Bean Home store in Freeport. Casco Bay Soaps are that popular!
All of the soaps from Casco Bay Soap Co. are great for face & body, men & women, young & old.
Maine products are added into batches when possible such as Maine grown Oatmeal for the Maine Oats and Honey, farm grown and ground Cornmeal in the Summertime Citrus Scrub or Maine Seaweeds in the Mermaids Garden soap bars.
My favorite soap is the Day At The Beach bar. It lathers up really nice and has a nice mild scent to it.
Two lucky people will each win a set of 12 different soaps from Casco Bay Soap Company.
The soaps in this giveaway are:
- Spiced Dirty Chai
- Sweet Almond
- Maine Oats and Honey
- Walk in the Woods
- Jack Frost
- Oatmeal Stout

I garden on a crazy big scale and fall is always filled with intense activity shutting down most of that, and putting all the gardens to bed. For example, I just finished digging, washing, curing and packing for storage over 550 Dahlia tubers. This time of year is like shutting off all the lights to my outdoor ‘workshop’ and heading inside for the shorter, but more relaxed days of winter. Cracklings fires, hot soup, sketched plans for new garden designs, and long lists of tasks to crack on in Spring.
