This morning I looked out the window and thought I saw a glimmer of red in the raspberry patch. So I stepped into the Handsome Husbands boots {you do that don’t you?} and walked out to the raspberry patch in my Pajamas. Holy Cow Man!
Raspberries… in November.
But it gets better!
As I was picking the raspberries I accidentally drooped one. When I went to pick it up I noticed an onion. Then I looked around, and started to freak out. I had forgotten to harvest the onions I planted in the raspberry patch!!!!!
Eureka! Guess who just stuck gold? Hmmm, I wonder how much they weigh?

Awesome. Congratulations!
It’s only Saturday and we’ll have to wait all the way ’til Wednesday to find out the answer to that weight question, won’t we? lol

That is so great! I was harvesting red raspberries until the end of October! Somewhere in September I totally forgot about them because most everything else in my garden was done and I wasn’t walking around there that much. Then one day I was passing by and picked a whole handful! They tasted so good again! I can’t wait till Wednesday to hear how close you are getting to 2000! And, yes, I garden in my P.J.’s too. I think that is why my neighbors never look towards our house when they pass by! Glad I live on a country road and that my garden is far enough off the road that I can say “they can’t see much”!

That little hint of red was a sign leading you to the hidden onions! Yay!! 🙂

I’m so happy for you in finding your forgotten onions. And I too was happy to eat three late in the seasons raspberries today here in OR.

Have you thought about “growing” some bean sprouts? You know the chinese kind? (mung I think). They are super yummy in stir frys , in egg rolls, in soup, and in scrambled eggs. They have a little heft to them and are easy. A little variety from kale.

That’s SO EXCITING!!!
I can’t remember if you’ve grown radishes or not….I’ve got some ready right now and I planted them Mid September, so I bet you could get some going that would be ready to eat around Christmas and would count towards your goal! 🙂
Good luck – we’re all rooting for your over here in the Land of Honey! 🙂
