Yesterday was a GREAT day!
Just look at my new white cupboard!!! Isn’t is gorgeous. I nearly cried when I walked into the kitchen and spied Cameron {the now, 9 fingered carpenter} installing part of the crown mounding.
And the doors! I have doors… no knobs yet… but with the doors installed it’s starting to look like a real kitchen now. And yes, that piece of stained trim above the kitchen sink window will be painted white. Soon. By me. I was suppose to have it painted before it was installed, but you know me, I’m a total slacker. 😉
What do you think of the brushed satin nickle knobs and pulls I picked out?
While the Cameron and John Voight were working on the cabinets, I pretty much stayed out of the way by painting the HH’s new office space, running errands and picking up trash.
Oh! And the laundry room cupboards were delivered yesterday too. Yee-Haw! The replacement cupboard the goes above the refrigerator was delivered too, but it was the wrong size {again}. But let’s not talk about that. Nope. We’re staying positive today. 😉

It’s looking very nice! I think you’ll be happy with the quartz countertops. We opted for quartz after reading about radon concerns with marble and how it is often not especially sustainable. I also like the hardware you chose. You can’t beat classic hardware IMO.

I am considering these cabinets and I was wondering how they held up. I have been reading a lot of negative reviews about their durability. I was also wondering if the insides of the cabinets are white or stained. Thank you.

The are fine for us… but if I had smaller kids or wasn’t interested in wiping them down every other day to make sure nothing stained, I’d probably pass. But then again that might because they are white. The insides are a light wood {almost pine color} not white.
