This morning, after buying our breakfast from a vendor cart, we headed over to the Musical Instruments Museum. The Girl and I have been to our fare share of museums, but the Musical Instruments Museum takes the cake. It was even better than the Louvre in our opinion.
The lighting was a bit dim, but here are a few of my favorite snapshots.
Not only was the architecture of the building awesome, everything on the inside was too. From the hardwood floors, to the iron railings on the stairs. The glass elevator was pretty amazing too.
Next to almost every display there were little pods {?} to plug the headphones you were given when you bought your admission ticket. To hear the sound of the musical instruments, you simply plugged in the headphones and listened.
Every imaginable instrument was on display, and most of the ones we saw dated back to the 1700’s.
They even had a few displays on “How to Build” particular instruments.
Well, that’s all for now. We only have a few more hours here in Brussels to soak up the scenery before we are off to our next location. I’ll check in later.
Peace Out Girl Scouts, Enjoy your Sunday.
