Oroweat Bakery Outlet $8.00
I don’t know about you, but I LOVE buying bread at our local bakery outlet. Not only is bread usually $1 a bag {sometimes even less} but they also give you a punch card. This past week I was able to pick up 6 bags of bagels and 3 bags of potato rolls for just 8 bucks! {One was free}.
The retail value on a bag of bagels these days is about $3 so I think it’s totally worth it to buy in bulk and them toss the extra bags in the freezer, don’t you?
Amazon Grocery – $4.96
I placed an order for Tollhouse Cocoa Powder last week and decided to toss a couple of other things in my cart as well. So far I’ve been pretty impressed with the Lasko Personal Heater {I keep it in my office}. I turn it on full blast and within 5 minutes the room is super cozy. Since I spend most of my mornings in one room, it’s been kind of nice to just heat a small area in the house.
I also picked up The Weekend Homesteader and We Took to the Woods. Unfortunately Lucy the Trouble Puggle got a hold of it. 🙁
Vitacost $4.44
I had some Vitacost credit so I ordered some snacks for Monkey Boy and some dog treats for Lucy. My order came to $6.08 after my credit and I was able to earn $1.64 cash back through Ebates for a final total of $4.44.
Milk $5
Mr. Produce Guy – FREE
And last buy not least, free produce. Gotta love that!
How did you do this past week? Did you do any shopping online?

I just found your website recently, I’ve been enjoying reading your tips. I’m wondering how you get FREE produce?? You may have written about it before, but since I’m new, I probably missed it.
Thanks!

That’s a steal for the bagels. That brand retails for $4.69 at my grocery store. $3 is the sale price! The in-store bakery has much better deals when you buy a dozen at a time, so I just pre-slice them, wrap them individually in plastic wrap and pop them in the freezer. You can toast them from frozen and they come out fine.

Is that milk out of date august or an old photo ?
Mavis Butterfield says
Old photo. I forgot to take a picture last week so I used an old photo. 🙂

It is pretty amazing that you are feeding your family such healthy meals and have only spent $150.00 a month for better quality food this year.

I LOVE “We Took to the Woods”!! How funny that you should pick it up! Its one of those unusual books that I’ve read; it was my first nonfiction “escapist” book that I read about six or seven years ago, and it totally hooked me on the genre. She’s awesome! Happy reading!
