Quote of the Day “All you need is love. But a little chocolate now and then doesn’t hurt.”
Have you ever been so tired that you cannot function? Well that was me yesterday.
Where to start? Okay. So friday evening I was online checking free flight possibilities for an upcoming trip back east {using mileage points} when noticed I could hop a flight to the east coast for the weekend. Yada yada yada, I snagged a ticket and had the HH drop me off at the airport saturday morning. Once there, I was able to work in the garden, do some painting and a few other odds and ends before flying back yesterday. It was a whirlwind trip and I slept for just 6 hours the entire weekend. Partly because I was engrossed in a book {more on that later} and also because I just wanted to get a bunch of stuff done while I was there by myself. And I did. It was an extremely productive trip.
I had every intention of posting the morning deals and updating the blog yesterday but as soon as I walked through the door I just crawled into bed and crashed.
I feel much better now. 🙂 So. The plan for today is to get caught up on the goals and grocery posts. Then, I want to tell you about my visit to Mrs. HB’s place last friday and share my garden photos. Sound like a plan, Stan?
Have a great day everyone,
♥ Mavis

A hillside worth of raspberries and no one is picking them!!! It’s a total outrage and I’m talking about it over on Dig for Your Dinner this morning.
Your garden is probably in full-swing by now. Your plants are likely completely established and growing along steadily. As the month goes on and the temperatures rise, though, those seemingly solid little plants might start to show signs of stress or infestation. This is the month you need to get them over the hump for a great August harvest. {It’s also time to start planning for a fall garden.} Yep, time marches on, and my July Gardening eBook will tell you exactly how to march on with it–no matter what comes your way.
Make sure to grab August while you are at it–that way you can read up on harvesting and preserving your hard work. Keep calm and garden on!
