Eat More Fruits and Vegetables
I popped by Trader Joe’s this past week and loaded up on fruits and veggies, so it was a good week. I’ll tell you all about it tomorrow. 🙂
Visit 24 {new} Bakeries / Coffee Shops
Stopped by an old favorite, Boulangerie bakery for one of their “jam in biscuits” and it was fantastic. Seriously, if you’ve never put a spoonful of jam BEFORE baking a tray of biscuits before, give it a try. A little crusty and sticky and oh so good!
New Bakeries / Coffee Shops I’ve Been To This Year:
- Ritual Bakehouse and Patisserie
- Standard Baking Co.
- Saltwater Farm Cafe
- Coffee Roasters of the Kennebunks
Go On An Adventure
Planning for my first adventure for the year is in the works. But first there are a few things I need to do first. And one of the things I need to prepare for my trip arrived in this box last week. Yee-Haw!

Spend More Time At The Beach
This past week I cleaned up the shoreline in front of our place and found {among other things} two giant pieces of styrofoam. I also found 1 small buoy which is always a treat and a few pieces of lobster rope too.
Paint
Garden Path with Chickens – Gustav Klimt is finished! It’s a big one too at 20” x 30” and it took all my spare time this past week to finish it. I love how it turned out!!
So far I’ve finished:
- Portrait of Joseph Roulin
- Red Boats at Argenteuil
- Regattas at Argenteuil
- Vase with Cornflowers and Poppies
- Sunflowers
- Garden Path with Chickens
In Stock and Ready to Ship by March 15th / March 30th
I wasn’t able to get any wool dyed this past week. Too many other things around here that grabbed my attention instead so I may have to extend my deadline by 1 week. Gaaa! As long as it doesn’t go past that I think I will be fine with my gardening timeline.
Hook 6 “Big” Rugs.
I was able to make some progress on my big rooster rug so I was pretty happy about that. I am challenging myself to get it hooked by the end of March. If I spend a few hours on it each night I should be able to get it done in time.
Large Rugs I’ve Hooked This Year
Visit 6 Greenhouses {that I’ve never been to before}.
No visits to any greenhouses this past week, but I already know which one I want to go to first.
Grow Baby Grow
Gardening projects are on hold again thanks to a beautiful batch of snow that fell yesterday. I love this time of year. The unpredictability when it comes to working outside is actually something I look forward to.
Donate to 12 Different Organizations in Maine
Nothing new to report in the donations department this past week but I am looking for new places/ideas to donate to here in Maine.
So Far This Year I’ve Donated To:
- New Hope MidCoast {50 pairs of new socks}
- Humane Society {180 trays of cat food}
*I still need to Drop off the art supplies to Camp Sunshine
So how are YOUR goals for 2024 coming along? I’d love to hear about them.

I’ve never heard of jam IN biscuits!!! I’m excited to give that a try! Can’t wait to see what’s in the box and about your adventure!
I’m currently trying to make some things to bring to my best friend when we go visit in a couple weeks. I also was able to donate 20 more cards to Cards for Kindness. That takes my total up to 50 for the year. I borrowed a bunch of different paper crafting supplies from my daughter yesterday and my friend sent me a bunch of new dies in the mail! I can’t wait to get into my craft room today! I won’t be able to spend every waking second in my craft room this week though. I have to get ready for Easter and I promised to make some goodies for the grandkids’ teachers. But other than that, I’m in the craft room and I’m so excited!

I’m jealous of the snow. We were supposed to have a snowy winter and didn’t have any snow at all. I think I jinxed it by buying a toddler sled.
One of my goals was to celebrate holidays this year (we’ve missed most of them over the past few years for a variety of reasons), and I have Easter baskets ready for both my husband and our toddler, so I’m excited about that.

I’m trying to guess what’s in the box for you upcoming adventure. An easel for a painting class/retreat is my guess!!

I am working on thinning areas of my house out so we have less stuff. I am currently going through my candle making supplies and thinning the hear. Last night I gave away 5 books to a neighbor. Had a neighborhood yard sale a few weeks ago and put things in with my neighbor, a lot of it went. Working on slowly eating down our MRE’s which we were gifted in the last hurricane over a year ago now. Next on the thinning list is to go through the extra Christmas ornaments in the laundry room. I’ve been targeting areas that seem to be collecting dust. My goal is to make the laundry room useable for working out or as an art space. Wish me luck!

It’s inspiring to me to read about everyone’s goals and the updates on how they’re going. I’m looking forward to trying the ham in biscuits idea. We’re at the end of the first quarter. I’m assessing my goals and how I’m doing, tweaking, focusing, etc. I definitely need to up my game in some areas.
