Eat More Fruits and Vegetables
We ate plenty of fruits and veggies last week… Mostly in the form of pickety bits. 😉 You can never go wrong with pickety bits as a linner option, that’s for sure.
Visit 24 {new} Bakeries / Coffee Shops
I didn’t get a chance to visit any new bakeries/coffee shops this past week as I was busy painting ornaments in every bit of my spare time.
There was an extra spot at the library for a craft vendor for their annual holiday fair so I did that instead. It was SO MUCH fun. I sold a lot of ornaments, met a bunch of my neighbors and had a really good time.

Spend More Time At The Beach

Read or Listen to 24 Books {16 down, 8 to go}
This past week I listened to Olive Kitteridge {again} while I worked on ornaments. 90% of the book is funny/interesting. The other 10% I could do without.
I need to get crackin’ on this goal though if I am going to get through 8 more audiobooks in the next 3 weeks.

Paint
I think I’m done with painting for this year. Crazy, right?
But with all the paint by number kits, buoys and bedrooms I painted this year, I think I did pretty well on this goal.
Who knows what “painting” will mean for me next year. Every year it’s a little different. One thing’s for sure, I’ll find something new to paint. 😉
Paintings I’ve finished this year:
- Portrait of Joseph Roulin
- Red Boats at Argenteuil
- Regattas at Argenteuil
- Vase with Cornflowers and Poppies
- Sunflowers
- Garden Path with Chickens
- Goldfish
Hook 6 “Big” Rugs.
I’ve started my last “big” rug for the year. It’s an adaptation of an antique rug. It’s one I spotted in a book a couple of years ago and have wanted to hook ever since.
Hopefully I’ll be able to finish it by next weekend so I can check this goal off my list. We’ll see.
- Three Roosters
- Hidden In The Garden
- Yankee Doodle
- Double Nantucket Whale Runner with the American flag
- Chicken Stroll
Visit 6 Greenhouses {4 down 2 to go}
No greenhouses this week.
Grow Baby Grow
The potted amaryllis are still in bloom, but what I’m really missing is all the color from the hydrangeas while I’m out on my walks.
I wish I would have known how beautifully the limelight hydrangeas look dried, I would have clipped a bunch more to set around the house during the winter months.
I think I might have to make a trip to the garden center soon, and pick up a few {colorful} houseplants for this winter.
Do you have any suggestions?

Goals I’ve Already Completed This Year
Go On An Adventure DONE
I went to England and had a jolly good time. And I can’t wait to go back!
In Stock and Ready to Ship by March 15th/ March 30th Now April 15th DONE!
I finally finished up all the major wool dyeing and pattern/kit making I had hoped too. All the “extra” wool is tucked away in bins so if I run out of wool in my Etsy shop I can whip up some more bundles in a jiffy. A summer off from dyeing wool… It’s going to be pretty rad.
Tidy Up / Clean Out / Purge DONE
We cleaned the whole house, inside and out. And then we sold it. Yee-Haw!

I saw a few days ago there are national park paint by number kits (maybe there’s always been). I may have to buy one.

I bought the Yosemite kit-I am yet to begin it- a bit intimidating…I need to just dive right in. Go for it!

I love African violet in the winter (well, year-round, actually). They’re always so showy & colorful and so easy to care for if you know how to water them. They just need plenty of sky views.

Looking forward to you 2025 goals. They are always inspirational!
Holley says
I love seeing all your ornaments displayed like that! Glad you were able to participate in the market!

I’m excited to see what you rugs you will be hooking in 2025. Instead of listening to audio books while I’m hooking I listen to classical music on the radio. Especially anything Mozart. Happy holidays to everyone at Camp Butterfield and all of you out there who follow this blog. So many interesting comments from all of you followers!

Rex begonias come in some lovely colors. The one I have has green leaves with light colored polka dots and purple edges.

Your ornament display looked great!

Mavis, did they charge you a vendor fee to have a spot at the library holiday fair? And, if there was, was the $ charged worth it?
Thanks!

I love the photo of you at the craft fair at your local library. I love the outside of your house with the lobster and Mainescentric decorations. It looks great!

I love that you call them pickety bits. We call them munchy lunchies in our house. 🙂
