With baking mode in full swing at our house this week, I thought I’d share my favorite coffee cake recipes with you today.
I LOVE gifting full sized coffee cakes to friends and neighbors this time of year! I especially love letting the recipient know they can pop the cake in the freezer and keep it hidden away until needed.
Being able to pull something out of the freezer at the last minute to bring to a party or to serve a last minute guest, is pretty awesome in my opinion.
Everyone loves a good, homemade coffee cake. These are my favorites. 🙂
Cranberry Sour Cream Coffee Cake
This is hands down my all time favorite coffee cake recipe to make for guests AND to bring to any sort of holiday gathering. Moist and full festive flavor, if you haven’t tried this cranberry sour cream coffee cake recipe yet, put it on your list!
Rhubarb Almond Coffee Cake
Perfect for those of us with rhubarb still tucked away in our freezers. This cake slices well and goes a long way.
Toasted Coconut Pound Cake
Okay, so technically not a coffee cake. But a slice of this toasted coconut pound cake is superb with a cup of tea or coffee and can be made ahead of time too. The sweet surgery glaze is a winner in my book.
Eggnog Pound Cake
This is another breakfast favorite of ours during the holiday season. With just a hint of eggnog flavor to it, this cake serves nicely as a morning treat of after dinner dessert when accompanied by a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
Flourless Almond Cake
And last but not least, this flourless almond cake is another family favorite of ours. I can usually get between 12 -16 slices of this cake and it’s always well received. Not too sweet and gluten free. Perfect for an office party or dessert potluck.
So there you have it. My favorite coffee cake recipes, all in one spot.

Thanks for sharing. Even though we have plenty of baked goodies ready to go, that toasted coconut loaf recipe looked so good, I printed it out for a Christmas Eve special.

Thank you! I am going to make one of these for New Year’s Day. I often have a carton of sour cream in the fridge that I won’t finish up. I can now make a coffee cake with it.

Thank you for sharing these fantastic recipes! I try not to consume sugar, but sometimes, that rule has to be broken, especially during the holiday season. 🙂 Your recipes are ideal for these winter days, and I can’t wait to try some of them. Cranberry Sour Cream Coffee Cake is at the top of my list—it looks absolutely delicious!
