Online Things
On friday I was able to knock off a GIANT goal off my list… Getting all my wool dyed and my patterns and kits drawn and ready to ship for 2025.
Being able to maximize my time to get all the hard and tedious stuff done during the winter months so I’d be able to enjoy this spring, summer and fall was huge for me.
Work hard, play hard… That’s my motto and I really wanted to rock that this year. I’d say we’re off to a good start. 🙂
Online Goals for 2025
Next up is to finish giant whale rug #2 and to finish uploading short videos to my Etsy shop of all the rugs, pillows, wool and kits I have listed. It’s a boring process, that’s for sure, but I’m getting there.
I only have 210 videos left to go {down from 400} so maybe I’ll be able to check that one off in another week or two?
Also, I’m getting more comfortable using my new computer {Mac} so that’s good. I’m also staying on task and not wasting time online.
- Reach 20,000 sales in Etsy shop MavisButterfield {I’m currently at 18,613}
In Stock and Ready to Ship by March 31st{DONE!}- Create 4 new patterns/kits {1 down, working on #2 now} I finally finished my great black whale rug!!!

- Spend less than 3 hours a day online {Yep!}
- Tidy up the back end of the blog
House Things
The HH’s big house project this past week was installing the rest of the roman shades {we ordered last fall!}. I don’t know what took us so long, but they’re all up now.
No more paper shades! It’s starting to look like people really live here now.
Next up on the house front will be to declutter and then paint.
- Paint The Inside Of The House {including closets!}
- Paint The Interior Window Trim
- Remodel Bathroom #1
- Freshen up Bathroom #2
- Put Stuff On The Walls
- Work on “new” Kitchen Game Plan
Garden Things
Just when I thought {outdoor} gardening season was in sight.. It snowed. Luckily though we didn’t get as much as was predicted {5-7”} and it should all be gone by tomorrow.
Rain is in the forecast for several days next week so we may have to wait to start digging up the side yard until we have a patch of sunny days. We’ll see.
- Grow 365 pounds of food in my teeny tiny backyard.
- Install a side yard {flower} garden
- Make a Potting Bench
- Make a Garden Cart to sell flowers/veggies out front
Kitchen Things
I got back into the kitchen this past week and created a new recipe… Double chocolate rye cookies and they are FANTASTIC! I really liked baking with rye flour and plan on doing it again soon {maybe in muffins?}. The nutty flavor give the backed goods a little something extra.
- Try 12 new recipes {3 down, 9 to go}
- Fill the canning cupboard
New Recipes I’ve Shared This Year
- Double Chocolate Rye Cookies
- Velveeta Zesty Chili Dip
- Haddock and Corn Chowder
- The Best Way To Freeze Avocados
- Freezing Refried Beans
Travel Things
Nothing new to report in the travel department, but my new passport arrived and whoa Nelly… it’s probably the worst photo I’ve ever taken.
I don’t even look like myself. Except that I do. HA HA HA.
- Explore more of the great state of Maine
- Go on a painting holiday
- Québec City {Accommodations and 1 tour booked!}
- Travel Overseas {All accommodations are booked!}
- Send the HH on a vacation
Marriage Things
I don’t think we went on a date day this past week but we did get out and go walking several times. I told the HH we need to get outside and take advantage of the good weather days.
One of our walks was at the beach and we practically had the whole place to ourselves. Plus I found another heart shaped rock to add to the collection.
- Keep my husband busy
- Date days
- Walk more
Secret Projects
Now that my big wool project is done, I’m hoping I’ll be able to get started on secret goal #1 pretty soon.
I’m also telling myself to just START… It doesn’t have to be perfect. Just get started already.
How about YOU? Are you making progress with YOUR goals for 2025?

I haven’t gotten some of my goals off the ground yet, but I’m doing pretty well on
1) celebrating holidays more (our Easter wreath is up, and I’ve ordered Easter basket fillers)
2) incorporating egg allergen exposure for the toddler (found a way to hide hard boiled eggs in spaghettios)
3) eating better (not doing this the way or extent I planned, but definitely eating more veggies)
4) organizing toys (currently a mess, but the toys do have places to be put away once I get a chance. Hoping to shift to more outdoor play once it warms up)
5) finding new crockpot recipes (found one last week!)
6) getting back into freezer cooking (slooowly
I need to
1) drink more water
2) work on a few other cleaning or organizing projects

I’m impressed by all you get done! To that end I have deleted Facebook off my phone, so now I have to actually log on to look on it.
You have also got me looking for heart shaped rocks on all my walks now!

My MILs passport just arrived. It felt so plastic now and the photos were just awful. Washed out and grainy. Maybe when they scan, the better image shows on their computer.
