Online Things
I finally feel like I’ve turned the corner on dyeing wool. I’d say I’m about 60% done {WAHOOO!} and that feels so, so good. I can only imagine how it will feel when I’m done!
I might have to light off some fireworks or something.
As far as patterns and kits go, I’m still around the 20-25% mark but I’m hoping to make some good progress on that area in the next few days.
One of my goals this year is to create 4 new rug hooking patterns and right now I’m on rug #1 and hooking at a pretty good clip.
My plan was to have the entire rug hooked by the end of February and it looks like that is going to happen.
As far as all the other things {not getting distracted online, learning how to use the new computer, cleaning up the back end of the blog… Well, I’ll get there eventually.
One step at a time. Once I get all the wool, patterns and kits out of the way it will free up oodles of time and I’ll be able to start to tackle those other projects.

- Tidy up the back end of the blog
House Things
Well I didn’t get the wall with all the pipes on it or the trim painted but the HH did install the new radiator cover, hang a shelf, install the new t.p. holder and light fixture.
Well done HH! I still need to put some tchotchkes on the shelf, but we’re making progress.

Travel Things
I’m currently on “research” mode for our next trip and having a good time going through “Accidentally Wes Anderson” by Wally Koval.
There are all sorts of kooky places to visit and who knows, we may just end up visiting one or two of them. 😉
P.S. Have you been to Norway? Doesn’t it look like it would be a cool place to visit? Do they do baked goods {pastries} well?

- Go on a painting holiday
- Québec City
- Travel Overseas
- Send the HH on a vacation
Marriage Things
Hey, we got out of the house. We checked out a new diner and took the puggle princess for a walk on the beach. Lucy LOVES the beach and she even found a crusty crab to munch on.
It was a good day.
The sidewalks around here are still way too icy to go for long walks, but it’s supposed to warm up to the mid 40’s next week.
Maybe then we can finally get outside and start going for walks again. I miss walking everywhere.
- Keep my husband busy
- Date days
- Walk more
Secret Projects
No movement on the secret projects, as I’m still waiting to finish the giant Etsy/wool project I’m working on. I am looking forward to starting project #1 though as soon as I get everything done.
How about YOU? Are you moving forward with YOUR goals for 2025? Tell us about them.
I hope you are staying motivated!

Love that paint by number! I ordered a custom one from a photo from the same company and will be giving that as a gift tomorrow. Hope it looks good.
The bathroom looks much better! Love white with black accents since it looks so orderly and clean.

You have to go to Norway! I’ve been several times visiting relatives. Water, mountains, lovely people and ….FIKA! (Fika is when you sit with your family, friends or colleagues, and take a coffee or tea, WITH something sweet on the side.) That said the Norwegians know how to make sweet treats!
There are some pretty cool Viking museums around the country, incredible fjords (take the Hurtigruten cruise up the coast-you can hop on and off and explore or enjoy the land of the midnight sun).

We haven’t been to Norway, YET, but it is and has been on my daughter’s and my list for quite some time! We did a thorough job researching and planning a few years ago, but then the war in Ukraine broke out and we thought that was too close for comfort so we didn’t go, but we still plan to!! I does seem like a wonderful spot!!

I was so surprised when you moved!! I followed your kitchen remodel like it was my own. I was “ out of commission “ for a few months last year but need to know what happened to that beautiful AGA?!!

Lucy is so sweet!
Is she eating the crab shell?
Is it not too sharp and could hurt her intestines? I would check with your vet.
Love your blog Mavis!
